On 13 Oct. 2023, I purchased a vehicle at BALISE CHEVY BUICK GMC in ***********, **. This dealership collected & $35 for an inspection they did NOT perform. My neighbor brought it to my attention. I'd left the lot to discover that after 7-10 days I would be driving illegally w/o a sticker. I was inspected 10/27/2023 at *********** **** * ****** after no callbacks from BALISE to remedy. Since 13 Oct, I have called 7 times. I am unable to speak with Mr. S (Sales Manager) or KATRINA (salesperson?). I am being ignored. I speak, at length, to Reception/Phone Service each time. Shortly after, KATRINA leaves a message. "I MUST PROVIDE A RECEIPT or PHOTO to prove that I have the vehicle inspected! All I heard was, "send oil to ****** They CAN confirm that, THEY DID NOT INSPECT THE VEHICLE & COLLECTED $35 FOR IT. I am AGAIN requesting, SIMPLY, to please, REFUND my MONIES. I am a PTSD Veteran and have experienced some anxiety at being taken advantage of; IN MY FACE. Most people might walk away, because it's $35. I feel, if 100 walk away, that's $3500. In this country, that's THIEVING;Thank You for any assistance in this matter.Business Response

Balise Chevrolet/Buick/GMC has offered full purchase price plus all taxes and fees to ****************** since the van doors meet GMC tolerances but this is not satisfactory for the customer. We have offered to either have a GM technician look at the vehicle or buy it back completely at the original price paid. Please feel free to contact the General Manager of the dealership and he will be happy to discuss these options.Customer Answer

Balise Chevrolet Buick GMC and the GM-Certified Balise Collision Center inspected Mr. ******** vehicle based on his statement that the right rear door alignment was off. Three collision center technicians independently inspected the door and found that no adjustment could be made. All hinges are welded onto the door and the alignment did not appear to be off. The door operated as intended and any adjustments would affect the operation of the door.
Since ****************** does not want Balise to buy the vehicle back, the next step is to schedule a GM Field Technical Engineer to inspect the vehicle. This vehicle is still under factory warranty so if the GM Engineer finds any issue with the door, ****************** could have that repair completed at no cost and a rental would be provided as part of that repair. These repairs could be completed at a ***Certified Balise ****************. Please contact either the General Manager or Service Manager at Balise Chevrolet Buick GMC to coordinate a visit with the GM Engineer or let us know if you would rather they contact you.
