I placed an order through their website at around 11 am today (10/24/23). At 11:29 am, I received an email from them telling me that they had some issues with my account setup. This, plus not receiving a confirmation for my order, made me think that the order did not go through. Therefore, I reordered the item at around 2:50 pm. At 3:33 pm, I received confirmation emails for both orders. I called Fisher Scientific's customer service right away to cancel one of the orders, but the representative told me that she cannot cancel the order because the order has not reached their supplier. She asked me to call them back in 40 minutes, and I did. However, this time, the representative who answered my call told me that it's too late because the supplier has already packed the item for a carrier to pick up. I spoke with her manager, and the manager was very rude and refused to help.Customer Answer

On the evening of June 27th of this year, Thermo Fisher Scientific listed some of their hearing protective and communication devices for sale at 92% off. I had been in the market for one of these devices for quite some time, and so I decided to place an order for a singular pair of the device. The device in question was their OD Green 3M Peltor COMTAC V Neckband headsets with single lead communication, item #********. They had also listed the same headset with dual lead communication in black for sale, but for the sake of this complaint I shall focus on the single leads, as that is what I ordered. I received an order confirmation but no credit card charge. I decided to wait until July 11th as shown as the date on my order confirmation for said item to be shipped. When July 11th rolled around with no update, I decided to call their CS department for any updates. I called them around noon on the 11th, and was told by a CS representative that she would update me with any information via email. On July 12th at around 11 am, I recieved an email from their CS department stating that my order was cancelled because the item was a "regulated item and not for sale to civilians". Well, I decided to check whether or not this was actually true, as the item is indeed regulated by the *** act, however, *** only restricts the ability to take/sell said item to ****, *****, ***********, and ****. Being a ** Citizen currently residing in the ** with no ties to any one of those countries, there is absolutely no reason for that excuse to have been given to me. In addition to this, other people who ordered the same item at the same time as me who also got their order cancelled recieved completely different and, in my opinion, bogus excuses, such as "you need a business account" or the item was "sold out" even though it showed in stock on their website at the same time. Basically, I am accusing Fisher Scientific of completely false advertising and openly lying to customers.Initial Complaint

I placed an order that apparently went out of stock. Instead of telling me it was cancelled or notifying me in any way that my order was going to be cancelled I waited and had to find out after waiting for weeks. When I called since the order said completed and not cancelled. It was only then that I found out that the issue was that the company decided to not restock so as to not get people their order since the price point was discounted even though there was no mention of it being a limited item. They also still have not issued a refund for my payment.Customer Answer

On 6/28/2023 I placed an order for a pair of 3M PELTOR ComTac SWAT-TAC V Headset with Dual Lead Communication 3M PELTOR MT20H682BB-19 SV Order#: D31795162 Reference Number : KYLECHAMBERS/VC/062823 Price:$103.90 Yesterday, 07/12/2023 my order was updated with a note to call customer service where I was informed they would not be shipping my order due to the fact that I wasnt military. When I informed them that in fact I was active military and in the service and still expected my order I was informed that I could no longer get the sale price on the item due to not having been logged in when I made the purchase and my order was canceled. This is extremely poor business practice and is down right disrespectful to the customer. Nowhere did it say when placing the order that it needed to be placed under a military account nor that it was a military only item. I am extremely insulted and frustrated with this interaction and would like this resolved by honoring the sale price of the item in question and the delivery of the item.Customer Answer

I left Thermo Fisher on October 8, 2022. I received their request email to repay their sign up bonus and relocation assistance fund on October 31, 2022. The total amount of money is $10,358.12. I sent a check to replay what I owe to Thermo Fisher on November 4, 2022. Immediately after I made it, I requested them to issue and send me an invoice confirming that I do not owe any money to Thermo Fisher.Its been a month and I requested them to send me an electronic copy of the invoice multiple times. I still have not received the invoice.***************************** is the only HR staff I know. She claims this is not her job and asks me to contact another department.Please ask them to email me the invoice. I want it for my record. Please refer to the attached email correspondence with them.
