Nursingcas falsely generates a GPA to send to desired schools to lower chances of acceptance, thus having to reapply and pay an extra fee. When confronted they don't respond. The most unprofessional business. The *** from a school is much higher than what Nursingcas generates.Business Response

To whom it may concern,
NursingCAS Applicant **** ******* CAS ID: ********** contacted NursingCAS customer service with a dispute over the *** that was calculated by NursingCAS in the ***** application cycle. The *** calculated for them in the ***** cycle was different than the *** displayed in the ***** cycle. This is because the applicant applied to a program in the ***** cycle that did not require a course-by-course *** calculation in NursingCAS. In cases like this, NursingCAS manually enters the *** displayed on their official transcripts. When the applicant reapplied in the ***** cycle, the program they applied to required NursingCAS to calculate a course-by-course ***.
Our verification team reviewed the applicants claim and determined that their *** was calculated correctly.
Via the NursingCAS *********** where we inform applicants where they can find their calculated ***, we explain to the applicants why they may see some discrepancies between their NursingCAS ***, and the *** that is displayed on their Official transcripts:Finding Your NursingCAS *** Calculations ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Discrepancies
Because of the standardization that occurs during verification, it is not uncommon to see *** discrepancies between what your schools calculate and what NursingCAS calculates. Discrepancies occur because:
NursingCAS does not recognize an individual school's policies for forgiveness, academic renewal, or grade replacement for repeated courses. NursingCAS will verify based on how grades for repeated courses are reported on the official transcripts. All grades earned for repeated courses are factored into your NursingCAS ***.
NursingCAS's numeric grade values differ from an individual school's.
NursingCAS calculates all ***s in semester hours. Courses that were completed in quarter hours are converted to semester hours. The conversion ratio is 1.0 quarter hour = ***** semester hours.
NursingCAS breaks down your *** by academic year, not by college or university. Coursework completed at multiple schools for similar academic years get combined. For example, if you completed freshman coursework at College *** and freshman coursework at ***********, NursingCAS uses all of that coursework to calculate the *** for your freshman academic year.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
Thank you,

I have had multiple issues with NursingCAS saying that they had not received my transcripts in their system, even though I have documentation that they were received. In NursingCAS's application it states that transcripts can take up to 6 weeks to be processed. Because of this I wanted to give enough time to order my transcripts ahead of time in order for the transcripts to be in the system for when I sent out my applications to the different schools I was applying to. Through the NursingCAS system I had requested for my transcripts I had requested my transcripts to be sent through the NursingCAS system on 01/31/24. I had received confirmation from the third party that process the transcript requests called Parchment and National Student Clearing House on the dates of 02/01 and 02/02 that NursingCAS had received the documents and was processing them. In May when I went back to finish up my applications, I noticed that it said on my NursingCAS profile that my ***************************** transcript was not received. I reach out to NursingCAS live chat on May 29th and am told they cannot locate the transcript. Even with proof and correspondence with Parchment, I was told by NursingCAS that I needed to resend the transcript. Parchment resends it on 05/23 and NursingCAS confirms on 05/29 the transcript was received. Two days later on 05/31 I receive an email from NursingCAS saying that a different transcript from ******************** is not there when it was there before. I found this very suspicious as it happened only 2 days after my other transcript was received. I believe that NursingCAS is purposefully not processing transcripts in order to get me to spend more money with them, and I have now spent a total of $124.32 with them and I am still having these issues.Customer Answer

To whom it may concern,
This is in response to the complaint made by NursingCAS Applicant *************************** CAS ID: **********.
The applicant had transcripts sent via Parchment/National Student Clearinghouse. We sent the applicant an email informing her that her ****** College transcript was officially received on 2/1/24. Unfortunately, we discovered that this was not a ****** College transcript, but it was her ***************************** transcript. The wrong Transcript ID number was provided by the transcript vendor, so the Bunker Hill transcript was posted to the wrong school. When this was discovered, we made the correction and posted *********** to the correct spot. We conducted a search for the actual ****** College transcript, but confirmed we did not receive it. We then requested that the applicant contact Parchment/National Student Clearinghouse to have it resent. We received the ****** College transcript on 6/26 and it was posted to her application. We were able to finish verifying her application on 6/28. Transcripts are either purchased directly from the schools, or through a 3rd party vendor such as Parchment / National Student Clearinghouse. NursingCAS does not profit from applicants ordering transcripts. Please feel free to reach out if there are any questions.Thank you,

I first discovered nursing cas during my graduate school application process. At first it seemed like a great idea to have a centralized application system. However, I soon discovered that this was not the case. I paid over $100 for their transcript entry system which they stated "I could use on any of my other applications". I completed my first application and when I went to complete my second one they told me I had to pay again. When I asked why this was they told me it was because "I had created my second application AFTER I had paid the $175". This clause was not listed anywhere NOR was I informed about it when I paid the amount. I also have an issue with their GPA/college application system. This system is built for people who have attended one or two universities who are well known and prestigious. I am a lower income POC and nursing cas constantly has issues with my colleges. For example: I completed an online ADN to BSN program and they refuse to accept my school's supplemental transcript which is listed as an accredited program, essentially hindering my opportunity of getting into graduate programs that use nursing cas. When I brought up my concerns and expressed that this is discriminatory they simply brushed my concerns as "this is our policy". they also refuse to speak to anyone over the phone and they refuse to provide information for their management.Business Response

To whom it may concern,
This is in response to NursingCAS applicant ********************* BBB complaint.
On 8/14/2023, **** purchased a service that NursingCAS offers called Professional Transcript Entry (PTE). During PTE,NursingCAS will enter the applicants coursework, credits, and grades onto their application for the applicant. This service is optional, and the purchase is only good for 1 application cycle. We state this in the NursingCAS ********************** These fees apply only to coursework entry and are in addition to regular application fees. Fee waivers and coupon codes are not available for PTE. Additionally, your PTE payment cannot be transferred to another cycle (e.g., re-applicants, applicants applying in multiple cycles, etc.). NursingCAS Professional ************************ (PTE) - Liaison (liaisonedu.com). **** purchased this in the NursingCAS ***** application, so it is not applied to the NursingCAS ***** application if they have one.
On 10/03/2023, **** contacted NursingCAS **************** about accepting a supplemental transcript from ******************, because the official transcript we received from ****************** did not contain grades or credits. NursingCAS informed the applicant that it states on that supplemental document that it is unofficial, and we can only verify grades via an Official transcript. We told the applicant that if ****************** sent us an Official transcript displaying the grades, we would be happy to add the grades for them and reverify their application. The applicant never requested to speak to someone on the phone, and never asked to speak to a supervisor. Also, according to our applicant contact records, NursingCAS never received a phone call from the number reported on Gians application.
Please reach out to me directly if you have any questions.
