Purchased a suv end of January this year in hopes to have a safer vehicle to drive my kids around in. March 19th I got told it needs a whole new engine. Mechanic said there was no way they didnt know about the engines condition before selling it to me. Since March 6th I had tried reaching out for help but was told its my issue now because I didnt have a warranty. Barely had the car 2 months. I would have purchased the warranty had the finance team not told me I had a manufacturer warranty till 85,000 miles. But *** informed me the manufacturer warranty is ONLY for a first owner not for me. March 20th talked with a manager. I still feel unheard. And trying to explain my frustration (no I was not yelling). I was told they will look more into it. We are a one car family at the moment with a vehicle purchased just barely 2 months ago thats unreliable. And no one seems to understand the urgency of the situation. Im trying to get the suv to the dealership asap before it officially blows the engine. And I feel like Im playing tag with the dealerships. I need help and so far no ones been able to bring me any peace of mind that this will be a good outcome. They said Ill get a call tomorrow. Hopefully I do get a call. Today March 21talked with manager James. He also seems unsure if they can help with the issue. I have also been able to contact the previous owner who stated the car has had this issue since 77,700 miles. After they were told about the engine needing to be replaced they traded it in for a more reliable vehicle. Previous owner was very sincere in apologizing for this as they thought Honda would repair it before selling it to someone. Previous owner is going to check if they still have the records of this when they get home from work at 1. As they only live about half hour from me and I could pick the record up. Over all its been weeks now almost a hole month and Honda Westborough has yet to help.

On April 27, *****, I went to Honda Westborough to get rear break pads replaced and rotor resurfaced. There was also a grinding noise coming from the left rear brakes while driving and braking. This was for my 2012 Honda CRV EX-L. Honda technician told me that brake pad on rear driver side has worn down and one of the pads is actually stuck to the rotor. He also recommended to change the break pads for other right rear side but the rotor was deemed good. After enquiring about why the rotor cannot be resurfaced, he said we can do that but it may turn out that rotor may need to be eventually replaced. Hence, I agreed to replace only one left rear side of the rotor and brake pads, as they come in sets of 4, for both the rear side. After the repairs were done, I could still hear the grinding noise coming from the left side when driving slow or brakes applied. When I brought this to technician's attention, he behaved in a very unprofessional manner with me in front of the Honda Advisor. I asked for a service manager at that time and we both took a drive around Honda parking lot and I made him listen to the noise; yet he kept insiting it is coming from right side. He decided to bring the car in and put it back on the lift. He then mentioned to me that noise is actually coming from right side when the tire was rotated and I also showed him that when the left side tire is rotated the noise is more pronounced from that side. I even asked him to change the part and then he said he cant as the part is not defective. He did not make a concious effort to resolve the issue and kept insisting that noise is coming from right rear passenger side. I left their facility very dissatisfied and believe I was ripped off for $400 with such a shoddy work. My customer experience was very poor with ***************************************. It is such a shame that this dealership is run and managed in such an unprofessional manner.

Dear ************: Thank you for submitting this review which allows us the opportunity to respond. We brought your vehicle into the shop and confirmed your left rear pad (driver's side) measured 0 millimeters and was causing a loud grinding noise into your rotor which brought you in to our facility. We recommended for you to replace both sets of rear pads and rotors and a brake fluid exchange for good measure for heat build up. At this point, you inquired about alternative repair options because of the costs involved. We advised that resurfacing is always an option, however once doing so, there may not be enough of the rotor left to be usable and the amount of rotor left would not be known until the resurface process was completed. You then asked to talk with the technician for the first time. The technician and advisor both recommended that you replace both the rotors and pads as previously discussed and that anything other than that would be an incomplete repair. We answered several other questions. You then inquired about the condition of the right rear rotor. At that point we stated, it does have more life than the ground down rear left rotor, however, it should be replaced. (Passenger Rear Right) You decided to replace only the rear driver side rotor despite our recommendation to do both sides. We completed your requested repair per your instructions and noted that the sound continued on the right side when driving the vehicle. Yes, you drove the vehicle with the Manager, and we put it back up on the lift and showed you that the right rear rotors were making noise which could not be heard prior because of the excessive noise from the completely failed rotors on the left side. We performed the limited work that you requested against our own advice because at the end of the day, this is your vehicle and we did what you asked us to do. Unfortunately the result was not what either of us wanted. If you wish to bring the vehicle back to let us look at the rear right side further, we would be glad to do so.

My Honda Pilot had a bad contact when starting. On January 30th I made a new key, but on February 13th the problem returned. On February 16th I took my car for an assessment. On February 19th, I was recommended a diagnosis and, soon after, a wiring repair. Through text messages, I was assured that if the problem returned, I would not have to pay for further diagnostics. On February 20th I paid $363.35 and picked up my car, but the problem returned 3 days later. On February 23rd I took the car there again. On the 27th they recommended I change the immobilizer. On March 4th, with the service completed, my husband went to pick up the car. US$394.50 was paid and the car didn't even start, even after several failed attempts. From then on, the treatment changed, I was told I could pay for more diagnostics or I would feel free to pick up the car. With no attempt to contact me since then, on March 10th I sent an email to the general manager, who forwarded me to the customer service manager. He responded to me on March 14th, reaffirming what was said on the 4th, incorrectly stating the order of services and only now saying that my car had complex electrical problems and that I would have to pay for the costs of ongoing diagnostics and repairs. All this time without my only car has affected my doctor's appointments the kids' extracurricular classes, the grocery store. Today is March 19th, my car is still there, I have no more information, I don't even know if it's starting. Despite all the inconvenience, I hope everything will be resolved in the best way. I continue to commit to paying for the services as I have done until now. I await a response.

The team at Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough is more than happy to help assist you with your vehicle's needs but there are charges to continue to diagnose the concern. We discussed with your husband at length the need to continue to look at the vehicle due to the persisting concern you have. We diagnosed the concern and found a failed component and knew we had to fix that first before we could properly continue. That was our initial repair attempt for a directly relating failed component that required replacement before we could continue with repair confirmation or further diagnosis. There was also damaged wiring which we repaired at no charge and performed another hour of diagnostic on your concern at no charge to you as well. We understand it looks like you have been attempting to correct this concern at outside locations due to the fact we see multiple items replaced and some other attempts made with the vehicle. We are here to help but in order to do so we have to be allowed to continue to diagnose the issue which will come with proper charges. We spoke with your husband to let us know if we can continue with the vehicle and have not been given the permission to do so. We received your email and reiterated the same and have again not been given permission to help you. The repair preformed was 100% needed but unfortunately was not the only thing wrong with your vehicle. Please let reach out to us and let us know if you want to proceed.

I arrived to the dealership for scheduled service on 8/25/23. I was told that the service advisor I made the appointment with quit so another advisor helped me. My car was there for an oil change/tire rotate and some air filters. I dropped off at 9:30 asked for it to be ready by 12 and got a call at 11 that it was ready. I picked up at 12 and when I saw the bill I felt like I was kicked in the stomach. The labor charge was INSANE. I asked the service advisor to explain the charges and all she did was read me the paper she wanted me to sign out loud to me as if I cant read. I signed and paid because I didnt know what else to do. If I dont pay will they give me my car back???I left upset about the price and continue to be. I continue to call the service department and the phone just RINGS AND RINGS AND RINGS. The operator says all she can do is transfer me back to the phone that just RINGS AND RINGS AND RINGS. I have emailed the service advisor who I worked with and who told me to reach out anytime and have NO RESPONSE. I have left messages for the service supervisor and stated in a survey that I would like to speak to them and NOTHING. Maybe they arent calling me back because they already have their ridiculous amount of money so they dont care about an unhappy customer.
