On September 18, I paid ****** ***** **** Salon a deposit of $156 for my hair appointment that was scheduled for October 3. I cancelled this appointment next day, September 19 because I found out the appointment would have been a full work-day long and since I work it was not possible for me to stay at a salon for that long. After a lot of back and forth with them trying to push me to work from their salon or book a different service with, I asked about the deposit I paid just hours before and they told me it was to be kept in my account on their system. I thought that was weird but since I intended to return I didnt argue. That was until I found another salon that I loved, and honestly worked better for my hair texture, and I reached out the Thalita to let them know I would not be returning. When I inquired about a refund of my deposit, they replied that they would check the possibilities. I didnt respond. Then today, October 29, they tell me that I was told of their policy and that I would not be getting a refund and that the funds are to be used at the salon. Their policy (I can provide all correspondence including their policy) states that if I cancel, the deposit is waived but also, the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Do you see my confusion? I cancelled well in advance and no service was ever provided for them to keep those funds. They didnt accept cash or card, only virtual payments. I always used Zelle. I just dont understand why they think its just to keep my deposit.

On 9/30/2022 my daughter had an appointment to have her hair died at this salon. I was told that it was mandatory my daughter get a $74 protective treatment when getting her hair died that would protect her curls. Well the adding of too many chemicals in my daughters head burnt her scalp badly. When I tried to discuss the issues with the owner of the salon I was told BLAH BLAH BLAH in my face. *** had to bring my daughter to the ** and follow up visits because of the ***** on her scalp that were done through pure neglect. I later find out that the woman who was adding chemicals to my daughters head , isnt even licensed! I want a refund of the $100 deposit I made.
