    Early in July, I had my 2002 Vette towed to JP CHEVROLETE for service as it would not start and maintain an idle. When I experienced the problem previously, I brought it in, it was fixed, and it cost me $500. On July 18, I telephoned Bob about the status of my Vette and the bill. Bob said the bill could be $1,200; I asked about my senior/military discount. He said the bill could be $1,100. I said that was still a bit steep. On August 12, I telephoned Bob about the progress he was making. He said that he and his crew were still trying to locate what was causing the problem. On August 22, Bob stated, "We are still trying to fix the Vette." On September 2, approximately 48 days later from the drop off, Bob called and said they could not fix the Vette; he followed by saying it would cost $1,300 to get it fixed. I thought that was strange as it was not fixed. Bob continued by suggesting that I take the car to Gallant Automotives. On September 13, my wife went to JP Chevrolet to meet the tow truck and retrieve the Vette. The bill Bob presented to her was $1,370.26. She questioned possible missing details on the invoice. Bob wrote a couple things in and presented the bill for payment. My wife paid the bill and followed the tow truck and the Vette to another dealership. At the new dealership, the technician suggested I remove the fender liner from the passenger seat and put it where it belonged. (It came from JP that way.) On the next day, September 14, one day later, the service advisor at the new dealership informed me that I needed a part, and it would take several weeks to get it. I approved the purchase; the part was delivered, and the repair completed. Now, the Vette is running and in great shape thanks to the current technician. One could surmise that the problem with the Vette at the previous dealership may have been due to an inexperienced staff. However, it is due to this disastrous experience that I am requesting a refund of my payment.

    I had a horrible car buying experience. My boyfriend worked here for two years and when they hired a new manager he pushed all his employees out the door and hired a team of younger sales people. I needed to buy a new car and decided to buy it at Preston because my boyfriend worked there. The new manager Chuck ****** and his new sales manager Buchi has me sitting in the office with my two sons who are five and six years old for over three hours. My boyfriend prepared everything ahead of time having me give him all of my stips so I didn't have to sit for three hours. The entire time we waited Buchi was in his office on his cell phone. The manager Brandon was rolling his eyes at my boyfriend on the sales floor, I thought his eyes were going to pop out of his chest. My car was totaled and I had to wait on my check for the down payment to come in the mail. I communicated everything to Chuck ****** and somehow Everytime Buchi would communicate to me it was completely different than what Chuck said. Very poor communication skills. My boyfriend and I asked Buchi very nicely not to upcharge us on anything. Buchi did not listen. He upcharged me on a $600 car theft which I do not need because I have my own car insurance. When I asked him to take it off he refused. My boyfriend told them very nicely that I am his family and please do not take advantage of me just so they can get any type of commission. They did anyways. I will never buy a car from Preston ever again in my life, it was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience
