EcoShield is a company that makes promises it doesnt keep and then punishes the consumer for not meeting standards. In December 2024, a technician was supposed to perform services. The technician came out, rang the doorbell, and then proceeded to sit in the truck for ***** minutes without performing the service. When I contacted EcoShield to dispute the charge on my credit card, they refused to waive the fee for non-performance and continued to provide the same pre-text speak. This company does not provide the promised *********** a separate service call, a technician left a card to indicate they completed the service. I wasnt home, so please explain to me how service can be performed when there is no access to the house or backyard. Unfortunately, I can't give this company a negative number of stars!EcoShield Pest Control North DC, LLC

Warning: Avoid This Company! This company engages in fraudulent and predatory practices designed to exploit unsuspecting consumers. Key Issues: Deceptive Contracts: They falsely claim you're signing up for a one-time service but lock you into a year-long contract with hidden terms. Fraudulent Billing: Services are performed without your consent, followed by inflated bills. Attempts to cancel incur hefty fines. Aggressive Tactics: They threaten collections action if payments are disputed. Actions to Take: File complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), FTC, and your state Attorney General’s office. Too bad the rating system doesn’t allow for zero, or more appropriately, negative stars. I will never understand how human beings will intentionally harm others for the sake of profit. But that is EcoShield’s business model. They are absolutely unconscionable. They blatantly lie to customers to get them into a contract that EcoShield subsequently breaches by failing to show up or complete services they’ve promised, and then by making it so extremely difficult to communicate with them that you have no choice but to cancel, for which they will then charge you a hefty cancellation fee. Do NOT accept this. After another no-show today, I called to tell them that either they would reschedule a technician to come at the exact time I wanted or I would cancel. Needless to say, they either couldn’t or wouldn’t schedule that appointment. So I told them I was cancelling. They tried to persuade me to stay, offering a significant discount for services that would become my permanent rate, but it just is not worth it to me to continue to have to deal with their abominable “customer service.” When I didn’t accept that offer, they tried to insist that I would be receiving a final invoice for $150, repeating over and over again that they checked my account and that was in my contract. I kept responding back that they were the ones who broke the contract with their no-shows and continuous pattern of unprofessional, unethical behavior. I told them they could repeat to me the same thing as much as they liked because I can and would do the same. I remained adamant that the only thing that would satisfy me was an email confirming the cancellation and that no further charges would be applied. Finally they gave in, and I made them wait until I received the email. I suggested they find another job if they didn’t want to continue working for frauds.EcoShield Pest Control North DC, LLC

EcoShield is the hardest company to deal with! I completed my one year service and notified them that I wanted to stop service and they simply do not know the word "no". They showed up for a sixth service when I was not home and then billed me $170.00 which I did not pay. After talking with 5 or 6 people who talk over you on the phone and are incapable of listening to you, I requested to talk to a manager thinking it would be a better experience and it was just more of the same. He reduced the service fee $40 and told me "take it or leave it, that is the way it is". I can't believe they are in business after treating customers this way. Oh and by the way, its very expensive and cannot rid your home of sugar ants!!EcoShield Pest Control North DC, LLC

Do not **re t**s company EcoS**eld. They lie and customer service is rude and full of S**t!! They tell you that you will pay quarterly and then charge you two times in one month and wont give you your money back even though no one came to my house the second time and charged me $189. When I call to cancel they want to charge me an additional $150.00 . I should have stayed with ******** for $50 a month , i knew they were there and the bugs were gone! Stay away from this company. This is a predatory company that will take advantage of you if they can. They completely took advantage of my 75-year-old mother by signing her up for pest control she did not need. Yes...my 75-year-old mother with dementia who lives alone. While trying to cancel the contract they demanded payment for the remaining services forcing a widowed, retired, woman to pay them. They came out and did what they were supposed to. I have a contract stating every 90 days, if I get charged more than that I’ll sick ******* *** on them. Both the sales rep Jack and the actual sprayer Andre were very respectful and kind. I have cameras so if they don’t actually do what they’re supposed to I’ll know. **Review: Extremely Disappointing Experience with Ecoshield Pest Solutions** I am beyond frustrated with my experience with Ecoshield Pest Solutions. After multiple attempts to cancel my service, I found myself caught in a never-ending cycle of phone calls and broken promises. Each time I called to cancel, I was convinced to stay by their representatives, only to have the same issues repeat themselves. The final straw was a missed appointment—again—which left my pest problems unresolved. Despite numerous assurances, the service did not improve, and my pest issues persisted. To make matters worse, even after engaging a new provider who successfully addressed my concerns, Ecoshield continued to refuse my cancellation requests. They insisted I call them to discuss my decision, despite making it clear that I no longer wish to use their services and am not under contract anymore. When I did call, I was repeatedly transferred between departments, making the cancellation process unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. Additionally, I have sent multiple emails requesting that they no longer contact me via phone or text. Despite this, I keep receiving the same email from different representatives, asking me to contact them so they can "resolve" my service issues. I expected more from a professional company. The refusal to honor my cancellation request, the poor service, the endless department transfers, and the disregard for my communication preferences have left me extremely dissatisfied. I do not recommend Ecoshield Pest Solutions to anyone looking for reliable and respectful pest control services.
