On April 10th at my grandfathers celebration of life my husband asked to park our truck either on the open area lot or in the loading docks area. The parking attendant insisted he park in the garage. My husband asked specifically for the height of the parking garage because he needs a minimum of 6'8'' clearance, the attendant assured him that was the height and said he had to park in the garage. When pulling up to the garage there were no posted signs of the height. My husbands truck made it through the entrance but quickly ran into the pipes and the ceiling resulting in damage to the roof. He then went to get the parking attendant who was no help and in other word said it's our fault. After the service I found the maintenance manager to get his information. He helped us get out of the garage without damaging the truck too much more. For the past month I have been dealing with him and his boss who kept asking for our insurance because they would pay the deductible which is $2000. I went and got an estimate from a local autobody which was $2500 in damage. Finally I gave in and gave them the estimate and insurance information. Now they are trying to renegotiate and say they will only pay for $500 dollars of damage. There are multiple photos I took where there are no height signs posted into the parking garage. My grandfather lived there for several years and the entire building is full of disasters similar to this. The men I have had to deal with are John Gorman and ***** ********. ***** has up to now refused to answer my calls.

Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2022/06/03) */ BayWoods is not at fault here. We asked them to submit it to the insurance company and they refused. We offered to pay up to $500 to alleviate the deductible. They demanded we pay the whole price without going through their insurance company.
