I'm seeking assistance to obtain a reimbursement of $89.99 for an installation fee that ApplianceLand failed to complete. The delivery occurred on 1/18/23, and though I wasn't ready for installation due to COVID-related delays, the original receipt promised both delivery and install. Despite my concerns, I agreed to the delivery with the understanding that installation would follow my project completion. Disappointingly, I had to hire a contractor for the installation, and ApplianceLand has not addressed the issue or refunded the installationBusiness Response

ApplianceLand has reached out to the customer and left a message for a call back to reach a resolution on this issue.
This order was almost 2 years old and we could not hold the appliances any longer. Prior to delivery, the customer informed us the space was still not ready. At that time, the Invoice was changed to be a "deliver & uncrate" for the 2 large appliances and refrigerators do not have a separate cost for installation that is refunded if the customer is not ready. Our invoice was updated in our system prior to delivery to be a "deliver and uncrate" with instructions to keep the units protected because the jobsite was not ready.

We have been working to purchase a cooktop from ApplianceLand since May 2022. The sales department has been unprofessional and unprepared to accommodate our purchase. Appointments have not been kept by the store, promises to have the project completed keep being pushed back, and sales order promises have not been met. It took the company 2 appointments just to measure the cooktop, 4 months to order the cooktop, another 2 months to install the hood. At this time we are still waiting for the filler piece to be installed. The store made 2 appointments to install the piece only to not show up on either occasion. I have gone to the store in person, called, and emailed and am now being ignored. We would like for the project to be completed as we have been waiting for 9 months to have a functioning cooktop. We are also requesting a refund of $1885 due to being promised a completion date several months ago so we wouldn't have to wait for the store to order the cooktop we originally ordered and instead sold us a cooktop that was in stock. The store also promised that the entire project would be completed in October 2022; we are still waiting.Business Response

I can understand Ms. ******* frustration as this is a complicated and specialty install and has taken longer than it should. Covid is still affecting availability and lead times are longer than they should be.
ApplianceLand can offer 2 solutions. First, if the customer would like a refund, we can offer that and process it at the time the appliances are picked up. Secondly, we can look into the status of the missing trim piece and expedite the installation to complete the job.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:1. We were informed that there would be no wait if we selected the cooktop that was in stock in October and everything would be completed within the week.
2. There is no excuse for Appliance Land to repeatedly ignore my calls about the status or to blame other employees for their unprofessionalism.
3. Applicance Land made 3 appointments with me and never showed up for any of them.
4. The only resolution we will accept at this time is to refund the money we requested in our original complaint.
Sincerely,
***** *****Business Response

We bought our appliances in October but didn't get the until Wednesday, November 2nd. The appliances were hooked up by their techs. The refrigerator had the wrong hose hooked to it which caused water to flood my floors causing cracks and uplifted my tiles from my kitchen floor. They were completely negligent and recognized they were negligent. The company bought out a fan and dehumidifier to soak up the water under my tiles. Their equipment has been running for several days which will cause my electric to be extremely high. We tried speaking with the owner Chris and he refused to take responsibility to replace my kitchen floor because we had a few minor cracks in the floor which were years old. However, the middle of my floor was not cracked, and my floor certainly was not coming up and cracking when we walked on it. This was completely a company error. This company is not willing to take responsibility for the damage they did to my floor caused by the water from the faulty hose on my brand-new refrigerator. The owner wants me to go through our homeowner's insurance which we should not have to at all. This was their damage, and they need to replace my floor. I have videos and pictures of my floor.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2022/12/29) */ We have been working closely with Ms Ray. Originally we tried to remedy the water situation using a floor fan and dehumidifier. Unfortunately that did not solve the problem so ultimately the floors needed to be replaced. ApplianceLand took responsibility and we are fully insured and everything has been resolved. Consumer Response /* (2000, 15, 2023/01/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Application Land solved the issue in a respectful and positive manner. Our floors were replaced and we are satisfied. I will be a returning customer as the damage to my floor was not intentional and Chris, the owner, was a man of his word and he realized the issue. Please close this case as it was satisfied.Initial Complaint

I purchased a new refrigerator from this company. It was scheduled to be delivered today between 12-2pm. They show up and my girlfriend was present because I was working. She didn't know where the shut off value was. The delivery man said it's also by the hot water heater and she said that's not true. He said I've been doing this for 15 years and it always is. She said I come from a family of plumbers and it's not true. Well he couldn't find the water shut off by the hot water heater because that's not where it's at. She went to look for it and he left. Never said good bye or anything. So she called me and I called Applianceland. They contacted their driver and he said that she told him to leave and she would have a plumber take care of it. I called her back and she said she never said that. They left the new fridge in the middle of the kitchen floor, didn't even attach the handles, gave zero effort to remedy the situation and then lied about it. Bottom line is we paid to have the new one hooked up and now Applianceland is saying they can't pick the old one up until Tuesday. I run a business and when something goes array you jump on it. The man (Kevin) said there's nothing else I can do. I said what I would do is to turn the man around and make him comeback and do his job. He said well it's too late for that now. I wanna be compensated for the $200 plumbing bill along with this old one picked up right away not Tuesday. Now I understand you probably won't be receiving this until Monday so I guess I just have to live with an extra refrigerator in my kitchen for 3 days. Lastly I want the world to know that this customer service is flat out not acceptable. Companies like this don't deserve to be in business. Next time I'll just go to Home Depot or Lowes!Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/10/19) */ Thank you for bringing this to our attention. ApplianceLand has discussed the situation with the customer and discussed some of the misunderstandings. We have reached a resolution and addressed the concerns. Consumer Response /* (2000, 12, 2022/10/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) They met me halfway on the expense I occurred.
