Signed contract to do work on 11/17/2021 with $500 deposit. I was told they have a couple jobs before me. Contacted them in January and each month following. Each time there was no commitment or info on when they could begin work. They kept pushing me back and eventually stopped receiving my calls or texts. In March 2022, I decided to hire another company to do the work and asked B & S for my deposit back via text. They finally responded and said it was nonrefundable. I pointed out that the contract does not say it is nonrefundable. After several back and fourths, they agreed to refund my deposit of $500. This was in March. I've had several follow ups with no avail to getting my deposit and recently, they have been ignoring my text messages again. I have attached the contract and a screen shot of the agreement that they will refund my $500, it is dated March 24, 2022. The work was never done and I just want my deposit back so we can both move on. This is no way of doing business.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/12/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/17) */ Unfortunately in our line of work it is very wind, weather and tide dependent considering we work on the water and off of a Barge. I've continued to stay in contact with Mr. ****** and he has been paid in full for his deposit check of $500.00. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/05/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Refund check was hand delivered/dropped off in my mailbox the same day of the businesses response. Unnecessarily long dragged out ordeal. I'm glad it's finally resolved.
