Paid for a complete new roof with new starter strip, flashing and shingles while agreeing to pay $100 for any sheets of plywood that needed to be replaced and knowing, on what is a low slope portion of the roof multiple if not all the plywood would need replaced in that section. I was told we couldn't move forward on the job unless I agreed to having no warranty on the low slope portion. I agreed and was told it shouldn't be an issue as shingles were already present currently and had never Leaked. After the work was paid for the roof leaked. Upon further inspection I discovered the flashing to be wildy caulked all over, shingles bunched up at the sides causes gaps, new starter strip not used and in another area an entire portion of roof that was paid for but not replaced at all. Upon talking with the salesman someone came out and literally put caulk under one shingle and placed some rocks on it to hold it down. Of course this didn't help. I started catching the water in a storage tub as paint and drywall began to fall from the cieling. Another person was sent out who agreed the section needed re done and was not Done properly the plywood had not been replaced and now they're were low spots between the joists were water was puddling and coming back up under the shingles. I sent an email directly to the company and got a call from the salesman who assured me he was working with the company for a solution. I sent another email and informed them my next step was to contact the attorney generals office and start writing reviews. This email was met with another phone call this time I was told "were a big company who doesn't take kindly to threats" and that the roof could be replaced in that area with a proper low slope material at a cost of another 1700 but only if I "rescinded my email" when asked about the section that was left untouched completely I was told another price would have to be worked up. At this point I ended the call and declined and further work.

They reached out and agreed to resurface the leaking portion and to complete the section that was never done. They were supposed to reach back out with a date they would be doing the work but have not as of yet. I will call tomorrow and see if they still plan to make the repairs and when.

On September 13, 2023, I signed a contract with Kris Construction to remove the existing bathtub to convert to a stand-up shower. Kris Construction would install the door on the new shower, and replace two existing shower doors, a total of 3 Doors, work was completed. On November 8, 2023, the final walkthrough was completed, during that time Door #3 top Rail was identified with imperfection, and noted that corrections would be performed. I reached out to the Rep on 11/13/2023, and 11/14/2023 via phone (1-443-752-8037). On 11/13/2023 Joann L******* emailed me and stated she forwarded my email to the Luxury Bath Office. On 11/22/2023 I reached out to Joann L******* to get a status with no response. Kris Konstruction, Inc. was paid $5,000.00 on 09/13/2023 and a final payment of $10,500 on 11/10/2023. I am requesting to have the job completed and a refund of $3,875.00 (.25% of the total contract)

    Hello Mr. ******,

Thank you for taking the time follow up on your service request. We appreciate your business and have not forgotten about you. The top rail of your shower door was reordered and is expected in by the end of this week. Shipping has been slower with the holiday and I apologize this was not relayed to you.

The bulk amount of your contract was for your complete shower replacement, we then replaced two shower doors for you (this being one of them) at a much discounted rate since we were already going to be working in your home on the full shower replacement. We will be calling you as soon as your parts come in to schedule your service.

    Hello Mr. ******,

Thank you for your response. When we did your final walkthrough we have no documentation of complaints in the main bathroom, only the top rail on the shower door in your other bathroom which we are addressing.

Our General Manager called and spoke with you the same day you submitted your original complaint to address any and all issues. When you answered you said you would call him back and we have not heard from you since. You are covered under our Lifetime Labor Warranty and we are happy to address whatever is needed or any issues with installation that pertain to the original contract. We look forward to correcting these for you.

Kris Konstruction came offer a free roof check after recent storms then assist us with filing a hail damage claim as long as we agreed to use them for the work. The insurance approved the claim and sent us a check. We were told by Kris Konstruction we had to pay the invoice 100% before work started which we thought odd but we had the insurance claim check so we paid it in full. The roof was replaced and we told the company it looked uneven in areas but they said it would settle when it gets warmer. Part of the work Kris Konstruction said they would not be doing like our shutters, upstairs bathroom, siding, and gazebo repairs approved by the insurance and they would not be billing us these repairs. Kris Konstructions contractor that was doing the repairs to our living room and kitchen did not touch the kitchen at all. Kris Konstruction went back to my insurance company for additional funds for more roof felt material and a water and ice barrier for roof which they approved. We were heavily pressured to sign a Certificate of Completion letter which they claim was just so the insurance company could close the claim. Now we are being sent invoices for different amounts from Kris Konstruction for $4917.06 then $3529.40. If anything we may owe them the $1610.34 amount my insurance later approved minus the $339.90 they charged for the kitchen work not done. This amount would be $1270.44 total.

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/05/18) */ Hello Mr. ******, The contract worksheet that we sent you lines up with the Scope of Work that **** sent line by line. You can see on the Contract Worksheet under the section "Work Not Doing" that we did already Omit the line items for the kitchen for the $339 along with all other work we are not doing. I believe the difference you are seeing is the $1,000 deductible that we are still owed and the $930.46 supplement that was approved and still owed to us. That is the difference between the $1,600 and the $3,529.40. Your sales rep, Michael, mentioned that you two spent an hour on the phone and that the bill was discussed line by line and you both arrived at the same number at the end. If walking through the invoice or insurance scope one more time would help we are more than happy to do so. Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2022/05/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) No I do not agree. Even after being on the phone with Michael for an hour he could not explain the differences in cost and said he would have Kate review the invoice line by line. Kate then sent back the exact same total as before. I have been sent two different amount invoices, showed Michael where I was originally billed the replacement amount of the kitchen work then only credited the actual cash value amount. Somehow now Kate is reviewing the invoice and changing items or amounts here and there but still coming up with the same total. The $1000 deductible has already been removed from the invoice total. If I owe you $930 for the supplement that was approved for additional roof repair materials then what is the rest of the $3529.40 for? You did not do any additional work. I will be happy to pay you the $930 but not $3529.40. That is almost everything **** approved and your company did not do a lot of the work approved. If Kris Konstruction would like the total replacement amount approved by **** you can send someone out to do all the work on the estimate and I will give you the remaining funds and pay the $1000 deductible out of pocket once the work is completed. Otherwise I will need to have these repairs done by hiring other companies. Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2022/05/27) */ The amount of the claim including value the $1,000.00 deductible is $22,713.88. (This is shown on page 1 of Property Claim Settlement from 1/17/2022) The totals that make up the $22,713.88 are listed line by line in the claim from **** and also on our Contract worksheet. You made the choice to omit (not do) the front elevation, rear elevation, bathroom, living room, kitchen, or patio. The total of these come to $3,675.23. $22,713.88 (total of everything) - $3,675.23 (total of all work we are not doing) = $19,038.65 (Balance) We had to replace two pieces of sheathing at $100/piece and gave you one for free. $19,038.65 (Balance) + $100 (1 sheet of plywood) = $19,138.65. (Final Balance). $19,138.65 - $15,609.25 (Payment from homeowner) = $3,529.40 (Open Balance). To summarize: Claim Total: 22,713.99 Paid to Homeowner: 21713.99 Due to Kris Konstruction 22,713.88 Total Claim -3,675.23 Omitted Items 100.00 PLYWOOD 19,138.65 Total Due to Kris Konstruction 21,713.88 HOMEOWNER RECEIVED -19,138.65 IF PAID TO Kris Konstruction 2,575.23 Still with homeowner -3675.23 Omitted Items 100.00 Plywood 1000.00 Deductible -2675.23 Balance of Omitted items LESS incurred Homeowner Expenses Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2022/06/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The items omitted from being done on the estimate were not items Kris Konstruction gave us an option to have done. The only one of the omitted we even discussed was having them replace the on the estimate but they said I would have to buy them and they could install them. My wife and I were told we were being sent the estimate for the work which was the total sum for the work they were going to perform. We received the $15609.25 invoice for 100% of the cost the job they would perform. We were told we had to pay 100% before the work would be started. That seemed odd but we paid the total invoice. After the work was completed Kris Konstruction requested additional funds of $1610.34 from my insurance company without informing my wife or I until after it was requested. According to **** these additional fund request was for additional roof felt and an ice barrier. Kris Konstruction replaced the roof and downspouts as listed on their invoice we paid, took our screens to Ace Hardware to have them repaired after I took them down and dropped back off to us then sent someone to repair our living room and kitchen ceilings which they painted the living room ceiling but did nothing to the kitchen. Simply because I received more funds from my insurance company than Kris Konstruction billed us for they are now attempting to claim the rest of the funds. Kris Konstruction has sent us prior invoice for $4917.06 and when I disputed the charge they sent a new invoice for $3529.40 and when I disputed this amount I have not received any explanation why they are charging us this excessive amount they have not been able to explain other than stating my insurance paid us more. They sent us a bill, we paid it in full before they started. They requested additional money from my insurance afterwards which was approved and I agreed to turn over to Kris Konstruction minus the amount they billed us for the kitchen ceiling work which they did not touch. They are attempting to bill us for more than this amount and even after speaking at length with Mike from Kris Konstruction who could not explain the cost. We noticed after the roof was replaced that it did not look flat and level as it should and Mike told us it needed to warm up to flatten out. It has been warm many days now and it is still not laying flat and many pieces are higher than others. During this dispute of these additional charges I have discovered the original estimated charges for the roof included complete removal of the old roof and a dumpster to dispose of them in. My wife was home the entire time and no dumpster was delivered be anyone or brought by the roofers. I know a new roof can be installed over an existing one but the estimate for my roof work was to totally scrape off the old one before installing the new one. I will be hiring an outside inspector to make sure this was done and the new roof is installed properly. The estimate also included cutting out the stained ceiling drywall piece and replacing it along with spackle and painting it. My wife and mother in law were here when this work was done and no part of the ceiling was removed it was simply primed and painted. I will also have the inspector check this work as well. The only solution I previously agreed to accept was to pay the $1610.34 minus the $339.90 for the kitchen repairs which were never done for a total of $1270.44. I also agreed to have Kris Konstruction. This is apparently not accepted by Kris Konstruction. I feel an impartial third party will need to review the invoice we paid and the work completed and not completed after I have the present work done inspected and report my findings to my insurance company so they are informed. I have copies of all communications with Kris Konstruction and if they gave us an invoice for 100% of the work to be done requesting we pay it in advance then decided they wished to charge more simply because the insurance company paid us more then I do not accept this.

I hired Krish Konstruction Inc replace my roof on 09-29-2021. During the time they work on my roof they thrown the shingles and all of the heavy stuffs on my roof like thunder storm (My neighbors hear it and they are very shocked when they look inside) and the heavy impacted that makes my ceiling damaged and the wall of my house was cracking, the ceiling light loosing, when I get up to the space between the roof and the ceiling I found contractor they took the exhaust aluminum hose connected from the bath room and tired up to the roof vent cover mounted on the roof by a aluminum pipe, that connection was left off alone with no connect to the roof vent cap on the roof, that means when the bath room fan blow the air and steam vapor out on the top of ceiling of the house, it will blow inside, between the roof and the ceiling, Due to the high ceiling, The space between ceiling and the roof only 1 feet, Mr. Cole T******* he has been at the work site, He saw those damaged since silicon shielded the ceiling trim felt on the floor, he took many pictures at the scenes and said he will fix those, later on, they sent another guy who's name is JD to come to my house to verify and took more pictures and agreed with that damaged, he even asked us to clear out stuff for him then he can fix it later, but he left and disappeared, (my roof and ceiling is 12 inch close together, it is a high ceiling different with a regular ceiling, my celling is 15 feet high and the sub-contractor, they did not look inside the house before they start to do the job). They try to get away with it by no-E-mail, just verbally called me and agreed to credit back $500 USD ($250 damage and $250 suffering??) with all the damaged they have been made, the mount they agreed to credit back was not enough to fix those damaged due to this time of inflation. I asked them, just take that amount and come to fix it, I told them, I do not want that money, because with $500 USD I can not hire another contractor to do

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/04/04) */ Hello Mr. ***, We understand that having your roof replaced is a very noisy process. Prior to starting work on your home, we took photos of the interior of your home with the vaulted ceiling and have photos that are date/time stamped showing that the ceiling was damaged prior to the new roof being installed. You brought these damages up after the roof was installed. Although this damage was not caused by Kris Konstruction, we offered a credit to you. Your homeowners insurance had also included funds for interior repairs, showing that there was damage prior to work being done. We have also sent you a letter stating that we would take care of the small repairs for you instead of the credit, and are just awaiting a signature before moving forward with the repair work on your vaulted ceiling. We apologize for any miscommunication and should have pointed out the damages prior to beginning. We appreciate your business and look forward to coming to an agreement on this. Business Response /* (4000, 20, 2022/04/28) */ As previously mentioned, we have documentation and photos that are time stamped showing that your ceiling was damaged prior to any material delivery or work being done. Your homeowners insurance also has this documented and that is why they were providing funds as part of your claim to have your ceiling repaired. We feel as though offering a credit for damage that is not caused by us is more than reasonable. Please reach out to us if you would like us to resend any photos.
