      On 8/22/24, I took my car to get it repaired for a stalling issue and the check engine light was on. They told me I needed my sparks plugs and ignition coils replaced, but that wouldn’t take care of the stalling issue; only replacing my battery would resolve the stalling. So I had them replace the battery as well as the spark plugs and coils. On 8/23/24, I paid for and got my car. Within 5 minutes after I drove off their lot, my car started stalling even worse than it had before and the check engine light came back on. I brought it back immediately that same day, almost getting into an accident because of the stalling, left it there for 3 days. I called to get any status for 2 days, left messages, but no one returned my calls. On 8/27/24, I finally stopped by the dealership and was told that I needed additional work done which would be more money. I demanded my keys and took my car home. I disputed the charge with my credit card company for only half the charge, although, I believe I should be reimbursed for all it. I had to purchase a new car and my car in question is still at my house because of the dispute. I also filed a complaint with Hyundai Corp, who are of no help. They want me to take it to another Hyundai dealership to have it looked at. I don’t trust that they will be fair and the risk of driving my car is too great.       Customer dropped vehicle off stating car stalls when idling but starts right back up, vehicle was inspected and found a random misfire- technician tested ignition coils and found failure of all four coils and spark plugs and battery tested weak and advised customer to replace battery. customer completed repairs, when customer picked up vehicle started to stall. The vehicle was brough back into the shop for further diagnostic's found that vehicle now was codes for the timing of the vehicle being over advanced. I explained that the vehicle would need additional repairs, and we needed to further diagnose timing concerns we would need to open the engine to assess what component of the timing system had failed and what needed to be replaced. Customer became extremely agitated that the vehicle would need additional repairs after having a misfire concern taken care of, I explained that we took care of the concern present the time of repair and that older vehicles can have multiple concerns masked by more immediate problems. before customers concern's the last time we seen the vehicle was 11/04/2013 with 16,975 miles, vehicle now has 117,433 miles, customer declined further inspection and demanded her keys and vehicle- customer took her vehicle and left

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I was talked into buying and installing a new battery stating that if I did not get the battery replaced, my car would continue to stall.  So I went ahead and had them replace it. My car not only continued to stall, but it was worse than before.  I may not know about the inner workings of an engine, but I do know that my issue was definitely NOT the battery and I refuse to pay for some I obviously did not need.  That was at least a $300+ charge.  I would like to a least be reimbursed for the battery and the labor involved.   I still feel I should be reimbursed for more. They obviously did not take my car for a ride to see if the “repairs” were done correctly.  I truly believe I was taken advantage of and from what I read on social media and reviews, I am one of several people who have major issues with them.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      My disputed charge of  $887.38 with my credit card company is only temporary because they are waiting for a response from Thompson.  If Thompson disputes this charge, my credit card company will charge the amount back to my card. I am not asking for any other reimbursement. Furthermore, I 
      forgot to mention in my complaint that I initially brought my car into Thompson Hyundai on 8/10/24, to fix four recalls.  The only issue I had before I brought it in was the check engine light was on.  My car was not stalling at all, but they called me to tell me it was stalling and I told them that I never had an issue with stalling or starting my car. I told them to just fix the recalls.  Later, after I picked my car up, it began to stall.  I find this highly suspicious.

      I have waited 2 hours in there and was charged over $100 for them to give me the wrong dignose . They told me it was my o2 sensors I went and bought them , got them put on by my mechanic because they wanted to charge me $800 well my check engine light is still on and the code still keeps coming up as 420 code . ******** converter . I am furious and I called the manager at ****** Hyundai he act like he did not care and never called me back after saying he would and corporate wont do anything. This will be my 3rd one and it always happens not even 1 yr apart . This is lemon law

      I have spoken to Ms. ***** about her concerns with her vehicle and i have offered to inspect her vehicle and verify the concern. I have also explained that the repairs completed on 12/30/2023 were done as a good will gesture from Hyundai Corporate but does not carry a warranty with repair. I offered to put in a request to see if they would approve repairs again. vehicle is no longer under warranty through Hyundai being the second owner of the vehicle her warranty expired, basic warranty expired after ****** miles and emissions warranty expired at ****** miles vehicle currently has over ******* miles on it. last spoke to customer 9/16/2024

      My husband **** ******* gave Thompson Hyundai a deposit of $100 for a rental vehicle. He signed a contract that he would receive the $100 back when he returned the vehicle. After returning the vehicle on 3/14/2024 we waited a week for our refund then when it was not returned, we called and were told we actually won't receive a refund for 30 days. It has now been 96 days. Every time we call we are given a new time frame. On 5/24 we were told the check was going out in the mail the following week. We inquired on 5/24 because we had to get another loaner from them as our vehicle needed repair again. At this time we had to give them a 2nd deposit of $100 for the second loaner. We were told they couldn't use the $100 that was to be mailed the following week because it was a new contract. They now have $200 in deposits from me that have not been returned as agreed.

                      I have spoken to the customer about her concerns I did explain we are currently working on her return and it should be done with in a few days. I have apologized for the delay and explained we have a singed agreement stating we hold refunds for a minimum of 45 days to allow time for toll violations to process. I have attached a copy of the signed agreement by Mr. ******* and had already emailed a copy to the customer after her call to me. The General Manager has been given the check request for the customer and checks should be cut today.

                your refund is waiting to be completed due to the National *** outage, ***  is our Dealer Management System and we can not access the system until *** resolves the issues. all checks are cut out of the system and it has been down since the 18th. If you would not like to wait for the system to come back up you can come by the store and we can process a refund to your card. this information is not stored for your privacy

      After a long wait, we finally received our refund of $100 on 7/3 from our 3/14 deposit. We still have a pending refund from May. Hopefully the second deposit will be returned more timely.

      I went and got and appointment for a front in aliment. So I went to get it on Friday. 7. 2024. I wait about two hours. They came out and said they could not give me a front end alienment, because like always at Tomsom Hyndia it need some more parts to do it. One part was $900 the other was three tires that was alright $700. At this point they charge me for and inspection, I didn't went. All i ask was for a wheel alignment. If wheel alignment couldn't be done why im paying the price of an alignment. They charge me a whooping $139.00 for not one thing. They could of looked at it, an tell I couldn't get and alignment. But they charge me $139.00 for nothing. Then I called another Hyndia dealer and ask them how much to cheak my alienment. They told me it's nothing to check alienment. But $169. For and alienment. I went out to Oursmer Hyndia. But it was a five hour wait. So I lift. But they said all I needed was an alienment.

      my truck was stolen in december **************************************************************** the vehicle and with the navigation system. I was out of work and facing hardship so my vehicle was there 1year. January 2024 .When. oId my balance they had to ride to another plot they had and get it . My paint was chipped off the hood from wherever they had it sitting . My navigation SD card is missing/stolen. Also the books that came with truck. ive been reaching out and calling for 60 days and still nothing.

      Customers vehicle was stolen and brought to our BodyShop for repairs - customer was given an preliminary estimate of $4700.00  customer did not want the the body repairs completed, her vehicle was then transferred to the service department customer had advised her service advisor- she only wanted to make the vehicle drivable - to completed repairs dash harness needed to be replaced to enable start stop button. repairs were completed. vehicle sat on our lot for 1 year while vehicle was here her subscription for ******** has expired and that is why her navigation (bluelink guidance) no longer works. I have attached pictures for reference. Thank you.

      Yes i agreed to get the vehicle running. I didnt know the button would almost fall in upon pushing button. The compliant is more inclined towards my NAVIGATION SYSTEM. ******** does not determine if that feature works. Thats optional to have activated. However ******** was how i retrieved my vehicle. **** Tenebaun was notified when i picked my vehicle up that it was not working properly and it displayed the same as what attach to this . I paid $5k and have all my receipts so not $4k. **** also tried to insert a SD card that said it was not compatible and he stated he would try to update that one or figure this out. I spoke with ***** who said he wasnt Aware i have been emailing and tracking this issue. I want my navigation SD card replaced , i will take the horrible service work as a LOST. I was facing hardship trying to take care of my family and pay out of pocket $5000. lights on dash like something else happened, **** blamed the tow truck. My airbag lights wont even go out , car never been in an accident. the thiefs didnt crash the vehicle it locked them out and thats how the widow got cracked

      I’ve been calling the service dept for weeks to get the anti-theft patch so my 2016 sonata isn’t stolen! I left voicemail messages and no one ever called back! And then guess what!?!? My freaking car was stolen! It’s impossible to get an appt here and I’ve talked to several other People in my neighborhood and they say the same thing! This is horrible and ridiculous and you’ve caused very upsetting things to happen to my family! Email me immediately!

       we apologize for the extended time for service appointments, currently we are scheduling 3 weeks out due to the huge influx of customers coming in for the software update and or vehicle repairs due to the vehicle being stolen. we are working as fast as we can to get every customer scheduled for service , a drop off is always an option to be able to get a vehicle in faster if it is able to dropped off for the day. we have over 5000 vehicles in our market area we are trying to get scheduled and repaired.  due to the call volume we have an appointment department making all of our appointments and on line appointments are always an option if not available by phone

      Wednesday June 1st I had taken my 2021 hyundai ioniq to ******** in which I purchased last year. I had also purchased the 3,000 dollar warranty they sold me. The car had recently began misfiring in the engine. My car has since been sitting there over a week they had told me they had cleared the engine misfire codes because on "thier testdrive" they had felt no misfire. But the diagnosis was not complete a rental car still has not been offered. An estimated time of when the work will be completed or just when the diagnosis will be completed has not been given. My son has driven there 3 times to talk to them because when they hear the incoming call is for the 2021 ioniq I am told the service dept employee handling your case is busy they'll call back... they never call back. I have no idea if they will fix the issue or when I will get my car back.
