?We recently learned of a recurring $199 charge to our credit card. We researched ***** appears that we subscribed to an Angel Publishing service for $69 for one year on March 20, 2021, and received a confirmation email (attached). There is NO INDICATION in the said email that this is a subscription that would be renewed without our authorization. This is issue **** turns out that we never since logged into this company's website to use any of its services. The 'account' has been dormant. No benefit received. This fact is well known to the company. Why keep charging dormant accounts? Is it fair? This is issue 2.The company is called Angel Publishing but the emails are from Wealth Advisory, another layer of confusion for the customer. This is issue **** also seems (but we are not certain) that this company shares customers' emails resulting in endless solicitation emails for financial advice. Since the one-time purchase in 2021, it seems that we get constant emails, many of which are blocked by the spam blocker but some get through. This is issue **** its first (and key) email communication to new customers, confirming the $69 charge, the company fails to disclose that there will be recurring charges. It does, however, lament the "mismanagement and outright deceit by Wall Street..." Well, I think automatic charging of customers with dormant accounts is both mismanagement and deceit on the part of this company. That is issue 5.We ask that (1) the company credited back all the unauthorized charges (only the $69 charge was with our consent), and that (2) the company commit to suspend charging customers with dormant accounts because collecting funds where no benefit is received by the customer is just unfair and amounts to conducting business in bad-faith.

Date: 06/23/23 I purchased a subscription with a 90 day trial with option to cancel for a refund. I emailed them twice to cancel 5 - 10 days before the automated renewal date and stopped the automated renewal in my account settings. I didn't get a confirmation email from them. I can prove this via email history.

for security purposes, we require our customers call us via phone to cancel and rec'd refunds. It's not a problem to refund via email request if the customer is unable to call, but we never rec'd that request from this customer. It's not a problem to issue him his full refund of $599 as he did request to cancel w/in the 90 day money back guarantee period. I've attached a screenshot of the refund on his acct showing the refund and he will record a email today confirming the refund was issued.

ANG*Tech charged my credit card $199USD - I have not dealt with the company before and do not know what the charge was for. Checked my email for any correspondence from them but could not find anything. Calling their office to get voicemail saying they are closed.

Customer joined an investment recommendation service called Technology and Opportunity on 9/8/2018. it has been auto renewing every year, through this year, at  the market rate. Last rate was $199.00. We are closed on Sundays which explains why he could not reach us via telephone. I have canceled his service and refunded him the $199.00 back to the card that was charged. Please see attached for screenshot of history of customer charges and proof of cancellation.

Mr ****** signed up for a 1 year subscription to our service "Technology & Opportunity" in 4/2021 for $129 w/the understanding that the subscription would auto-renew each year afterwards at the retail rate (in this case $199) unless he notified customer service that he would not like to continue. His membership renewed automatically last year and again this year. There are no notes on Mr. ******* acct indicating that he requested to cancel this service or the auto-renewal of it. As a result of the receipt of this BBB complaint, I have canceled his subscription and refunded him the $199 he was charged on 4/9/2023. A confirmation email has been sent to him notifying him of that refund.

I was going through my paperwork for IRS and saw two charges from "ANG*TECH and Opportunity. I did not contract or intentionally sign up for any of their services. This appears to be an on-going charge. I cannot afford this on my very tight retirement and would never have signed up for such a thing on purpose. I would like a refund of the 2 payments (2/20 for $199 and 3/01 for $191) and any more payments they may have charged to me or may charge in the future before this can be taken care of. Definitely make sure this is canceled. Toni ******* *************** ###-###-####

customer was automatically charged b/c joined auto renewing subscription to Technology and Opportunity in February of 2/2021, so he was automatically renewing in 2022 and again in 2023. he called in feb 2023 about this year's charge and was issued a prorated refund of 191. Out of good faith, I have refunded him last year's auto renew charge of 199.00 as well and sent him notification of those refunds.
