On 4/11/24 after long Bitcoin halving presentation called to sign up for Breakout Fortunes, 2 years for $1997.00.7/11/24, received an unauthorized charge for $1,141.22. 7/12/24, Called Manward Press several times, customer support advised it was for a Lifetime VIP service and I needed to speak to ****** in VIP ************* Left vmails on ******** vmail, I called back and was finally re-transferred to him. He advised it was set up as a payment plan in 2 installments. I advised I did not authorize that. He stated it was a misunderstanding and it was refundable. I could expect to see the refund on Mon 7/15 or Tues. 7/16/24. Confirmed w/ cc **** no refund received as of 7/18/24. This service was sold as a cryptocurrency trading service and NONE of the trades in the model portfolio are for crypto. The three trade alerts received are ***** stocks, have sub par performance and weekly email updates are not. Last email received on 7/9/24. This is in addition to the unauthorized charge of $1,141.22 and non receipt of the refund ****** stated he would process on 7/12/24. Thus I called back on 7/12/24 for a refund of the original service. ***** stated ****** has left and he would leave him a message to call me on Monday, 7/15/24. No return call received.7/18/24: Called Manward, asked for supervisor of VIP Services, *** stated I need to speak to ****** Hargidan...again. 2nd number for ******, is not in service. Left two vmails for ******, tried calling at least 5x's, always got ******** vmail. Called VIP services #************, zero people in que, chose callback or hung up ********** tactics are far from stellar and feel shady.Business Response

Hi Rika,
We are very sorry for the confusion here. After speaking with ******, it appears there was a system error that held things up, and he has since manually released the funds back to your card.
We apologize for the inconvenience and if you have any other questions regarding your account, please reach out to us at ************** or email ************************************************************.
Sincerely,
Manward Press Team

I am rejecting this response because:
The email received from Manward shows cancellation confirmed and refund amount showed $0.00. It stated to allow 5-7 days for credit card refunds. Unable to respond to the email as it is unmonitored. It appears from their response, they may have only addressed a refund for the unauthorized charge $1,141.22 and not the prorated amount for Breakout Fortunes. As the amount shown for the cancellation is 0.00 and considering what occured previously, I prefer to wait to see the actual refund on my card, prior to closing my case.Is there a way to notify you if it becomes satisfactory, or if further communication to BBB is necessary?
Sincerely,

Only partial refund received for $1,047.12. Spoke to ****** ******* on 7/28/24, he said my refund was processed in two parts. Per ******, first refund for $1k plus tax was processed. The full amount paid ($1997,) plus the shortage of the unauthorized charge ($94.10) was processed on 7/23/24 and would take 5 business days for receipt. Nothing received on 7/30/24. On 8/2/24, **** **** from Manward called and said a prorated amount and the difference/shortage was in "chargeback mode and that's good for us." He stated they attempted to process but my credit card declined the refund. I advised **** that credit card company had advised me that all credits would go through. **** advised they would re-process the prorated amount, plus shortage, it would take 5 business days which is tomorrow 8/9/24. **** also stated he put everything into an email with his contact information. No email received from ****. I again called my cc *** and was re-advised any credits/refunds would transfer to my new card. They confirmed only one refund in the amount of $1,047.12 was received, which did show on my end as well. Can all this info, including my original complaint be made public on your website?Initial Complaint

I noticed a charge on my fathers credit card on 5/8/24 as I was paying his bill. Manward press came up charging $79.00 at the end of April 2024, never heard of the company, no mention in his emails prior to February 2024 that I could find. Emailed them to ask about this charge, they asked if I wanted to cancel, never signed up. Tried calling to clarify/get refund and the *** was unhelpful and asked for information (death certificate, power of attorney) which I dont feel comfortable providing to a company that wasnt provided info to begin with. They wouldnt provide me with a sign up date and my fathers been deceased for over 2 years. I dont want them to keep charging his card illegally but I need it refunded so I can cancel his card. Based on other peoples experience Ive read through, Im afraid I will get charged many more times before this is resolved.Business Response

I purchased Manward Press yesterday for $129 dollars. They offered tips for investing. What you get is man up names of companies in the stock market... UNTIL you pay them LOTS more money. So you received nothing for $129 dollars expect TOTAL harassment with emails. I have received 16 emails in one and a half days from them, many different company names but all lead back to **** ******. I have contacted them through their website 3 times, I have emailed them 3 times and they will not answer me! I want them to refund my money for $129 and stop emailing. No one should have 16 emails in 1.5 days. I would not have requested my money IF they actually gave you what they promised investing tips (with REAL companies) name. He makes up names of companies so you really don't know who to invest with UNLESS you pay them MORE money! When you start off lying... you certainly should think twice about listening to his advise! Then I wonder if I bought his bait and bought more... what more is NEXT! I have feeling it will never stop! I have read they KEEP charging your credit card, when your done! All I can say, is the ONLY transaction that should even happen with them again is REFUND my money and we are done! I don't want to block on my emails because I have asked for a refund and I need to leave that communication open for now! I would have never requested a refund... if they did not straight up LYE on what you get! The picture I uploaded was day 2 and only from morning until 2 pm of their emails to me and ALL their other company's. If not them, then why do they all talk about **** ******? Its their him... or he sold my contact information??? Isn't that against the law without my permission? But it's really him...no one needs to be emailed 9 times yesterday on day one and picture below was today from 7 am to 2 pm, when I get back to my emails... I would bet my life there will be MORE!Business Response

We were sorry to hear of Ms. ******** complaint. She first emailed our customer service team on Friday, February 2 at 9:30pm, and twice more the following day. Unfortunately this was outside our customer service hours (M-F, 8a-8p, ET). Ms. ****** spoke to our team on Monday, February 5 and was fully refunded per our 365-day guarantee.Customer Answer

This transaction took place on March 17, 2023 in the amount of $ *******. GVI Investor is offered by ****** ***** through Manward Press. He purports to be an investment advisor with tremendous successful investing experience. He promises that if you follow his recommendations you will achieve comparable favorable results. Unfortunately the reality is far different. Once you have paid the money what follows are numerous recommendations to "SELL" and very few recommendations to "BUY". When you follow the "BUY" recommendations for the group of stocks he recommends all you see are those stock prices going down. I have a detailed spreadsheet available that shows the loses for every one of the recommended stocks. I am thoroughly disgusted with lack of positive results and are hereby requesting that my subscription be cancelled and my $ ******* be refunded to the credit card I used to purchase the subscription.Initial Complaint

I have made MULTIPLE requests REPEATEDLY to be completely UNSUBSCRIBED FROM ANY AND ALL emails, newsletters, text messages, mail delivered via USPS. I also have requested that this company STOP CONTACTING ME ALTOGETHER. NO SOLICITATIONS. NO MARKETING OUTREACH, OR ANY FUTURE CONTACT, SOLICITATION OR OUTREACH OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER. I don't think I can make this any clearer, yet I am still receiving such communication from this company for the past several months that I've made repeated requests to CEASE AND DESIST. I have all emails on file and I am still waiting for this to STOP.Business Response
