March 15th 2021 we took our beloved pet ******* in for oxygen. On March 16th he was dead. This is something we had done before, he would go in for about an hour 1/2, get oxygen and we would bring him home. For some reason they wanted to keep him over night, so we agreed. My mother woke up early the next day to see him, they were rude and denied her. I didn't think that was appropriate so I went back with her to find out what the issue was. This time they didn't deny the visit, they said he wasn't going to make it off the oxygen, so we agreed to have him euthanized in a compassionate manner while he was on oxygen. When we were ready, we told the technician we were ready so she could get the doctor. With the attending doctor no where in sight, the technician pulled the oxygen from him, he couldn't breath, he was gasping for air, got up off the table trying to get into my arms, he couldn't even hold his head up as he kept gasping for air, his head bobbing wildly. The the vet showed up apologizing, we had to wrestle him back down and she administered the shots, one after the other in seconds. My family is horrified and saddened by this uncompassionate experience. ******* our pet was like a child to us and he deserved so... much more better. There's absolutely no way to fix a euthanasia. I have no desire or will ever do business with this place again. Just a warning to anyone else that think they may be a suitable place for compassionate euthanasia, the may want to rethink and go some place else. When I posted this in **** reviews they had their scouts rebut it, by saying they watch a video and the vet was there the whole time. Well that's just great because not only are they not fit to do euthanasia, but they are also not credible or reputable.

First and foremost, we are very sorry for the loss of Ms. ******'s pet, *******. The loss of a pet is never easy and with certain underlying conditions, it is impossible to relieve that pet's suffering prior to euthanasia. Patients with respiratory distress can be especially heartbreaking because they are unable to mask the degree of their illness as can be done with other diseases.

For pets in respiratory distress, there are many possible treatments that can be provided/ recommended, including IV fluid administration, IV medication administration, placement in an oxygen cage, placing a nasal canula to provide oxygen or in cases of extreme distress, placement of an endotracheal tube to provide manual ventilation to the patient. Additional diagnostic testing may also be recommended to help us better understand the cause of the condition so we can provide more precise treatments but this work up cannot be done without owner consent. Sadly, even aggressive treatment does not guarantee patients will recover and these losses leave a scar on the hearts of all involved.
