    On the morning of June 5th, I called and asked for someone to come out and figure out the problem. I was advised there was a 98$ diagnostic fee, and I agreed. He determined that there was a bit of insulation that came off inside the unit upstairs and had been blocking air flow. The house remained hot, and the unit continued to freeze up after running for a few hours. I called again on Thursday. At that point he determined some valve that released refrigerant wasnt functioning and would need to be replaced. He said the part would be covered by a warranty, but not the labor. Not once did someone tell me this might be an expensive repair. It took 3 trips by a technician to diagnose the problem, and I still dont have a written estimate or know exactly what part needed replacing. I saw the part, but I never saw the part that was removed. I do know that in the repair process, despite asking that they not use my kitchen as the thoroughfare between the upstairs and backyard portion, they didnt. I also know that the smoke detector went off 3 times, a bottle of CPVC cleaning fluid, the purple kind that smells like acetone, spilled all over my hardwood floor. At the very end (or what seemed like it) I was asked if I had a 9V battery. I located one in the box of batteries and handed it over. I paid someone (not ***** but the other guy) $1543 and sent them on their way. They left behind a bottle of blue gas leak detector, so I guess that's my replacement battery for my smoke detector. 24 hours later, I still have no record of what part exactly they replaced, an estimate of charges, or an itemized bill. I do have credit card charge. If I had to call anyone for service again, only **** would be able to have any sort of record of this breakdown as I have nothing. If I had had at least 24 hours’ notice of the potential cost of repairs or had been provided any sort of document of the exact problem, I would have called around for other estimates.

    My old system was working just fine. I had **** come out for a service check. They told me I needed a new unit. That my existing system would not last through the winter. Like a fool, I paid $14,000 CASH. I signed the contract that stated that they guaranteed I would be 100% satisfied. They sold me on the fact that their system was a lot more efficient and I would save lots of money on my bill every month. Now the system keeps running and my Pepco bill is significantly higher than with my old system. ****** has sent a technician out 7 or 8 times. They were all very nice and seemed like they knew what they were doing, especially ******. Later on, we found out there were no permits pulled and the system was not inspected by the county. finally, we spoke to the owner ******************, and demanded he take out the system he said he would remove the system and reimburse the $14,000. Now it has been over a month and they have not removed this air conditioning lemon. It looks like i will have to get my lawyer involved. Please if this company contacts you run!!!Sincerely *************************
