I had them come out to change a dishwasher valve under the sink, look at a leak from my garbage disposal, and change two pipes downstairs. I had a couple small items that I spoke to the plumber about when he got here (a squealing pipe in the shower, a corroded sink drainage pipe, and a leaky toilet.), and I left for the day and let him do his thing. (I had a person here, but they couldn't babysit him.) I came back to find that the garbage disposal had been replaced at a cost of $450, rather than fixing the leak--under the excuse that "it was shot". Now, keep in mind that this was an older system, but it worked just fine and I'd literally run it for him to show where the leak was. He'd done the dishwasher valve, the toilet, and part of a pipe to my water storage. As he ran out of time and made it to nothing else, I called to set up a second appointment. A bit over $1200 was charged for that first appointment and while I wasn't happy about the dishwasher and more than a little insulted that "it was shot" was the extent of their reasoning, I needed the work done and didn't have time to find someone else. So I decided to trust that perhaps there was an issue and called them back for the rest of it. They told me that they'd have to cut the drywall to fix the sink, and I specifically told them not to carry out that repair. (something that their replacement plumber and initial phone lady confirmed.) The second appointment occurred on Friday, and I returned only to find that they hadn't finished their initial work (They replaced a large pipe only to leave a small corroded corner for some foolish reason.) and they'd gone ahead and done the item I specifically told them not to do, and it leaked. I called them and they sent out a followup plumber who basically declared it didn't leak anymore and left, only for them to charge me over $600 for the second appointment--with one hour off "to account for them not patching the drywall". Judge for yourself.
