Company was commissioned to repair and re-coat roof in 03/2022. Roof was showing signs of mildew in 08/2024. Company has been contacted several times via phone and text and agreed to honor the three year warranty but has made no attempts to do so; continuously claiming they will come at the earliest availability or unable to service immediately due to weather, which continued to exasperate the issue. It has been over two months since initially filing the request with the company and no follow-up service has been provided; resulting in black mold growing in the original mildew spots. An insurance claim has been placed, attorney contacted and the attorney general will be notified.

    Complaint: 22420864

I am rejecting this response because: the company has a history of being dishonest concerning the follow-up work done for the warranty. It is untrue that the warranty work was delayed due to my unwillingness to work with the son of the company. This only became a stipulation once the son, **** Jr. was unresponsive and untruthful about his follow-up with me which occurred from my initial call in 08/2024 until my call to his father, **** Sr. in 10/2024, two months after first attempting to secure the work being done with his son. Given my experience, I do not trust the company and have an insurance appraiser coming this Saturday, 10/26 to investigate the quality of the warranty work and cause of the need to the repair. Once I receive that report, I will reconsider rescinding my complaint or continuing to work with the Better Business Bureau to obtain what is warranted to me through my three year warranty.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ******

April 2023 - H.G. Wilson was contacted to repair the roof and basement. They were paid $3500, but did not provide visual proof of the service, a receipt, or the warranty that was promised. December 2023 - H.G. Wilson was contacted to repair the roof because it was leaking once again. They were $600 in cash and did not provide a receipt, warranty, or visual proof of the work being completed. I tried to visit their physical location after they continued to ignore my calls and texts, but it was *** store.

April work was not roofing but to replace drywall ceiling and wall and do repairs in basement due to flooding including

    drywall replacement

    fixing 2x4 wall joists

    painting of basement

The company only responded to the incident in April and not the most recent event that occurred in December of 2023. They were called to look into my roof and did some work on it, but it was unsatisfactory which is why my bedroom ceiling is now leaking. They also failed to provide a receipt or warranty which was promised.

Company was contracted to resurface my driveway. I told the owner that it may rain, and I would like to delay the job. The owner indicated that if it rained, they would come back out and redo the job to make repairs. It rained later that night, and the applied material was washed out. I called back and was told they would schedule a redo in 3 weeks. I call back to schedule and they avoided my calls. The driveway appears to have been damaged with the applied materials. At this point, I would simply like a refund for another company to perform the job. It will cost me more, but the owner does not give me the impression of being honest.

(Please note that my home has security cameras, and I can prove my claims.) On Friday, July 16th, 2022, this company came to my home to do repairs. They promised pictures of their work (roof plus gutters), as well as a completed receipt for their work. They've not provided it as of yet, and Maryland law requires receipts. That said, they charged my credit card for nearly $500, and they cannot justify the charges.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/19) */ Before and after Pictures was shown to customer Invoice was emailed to customer she never received it so it was resent over Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They're lying. They didn't send me a receipt until they read this complaint. After the complaint, I received dozens of pictures via text messages, as well as a highly deficient receipt. The receipt is highly deficient because it is not detailed and does not demonstrate how they arrived at the amount that I was charged for. Therefore, it is possible for them to have inflated charges and cost, as well as evaded the payment of taxes. Additionally, the array of pictures does not explicitly corroborate with the receipt, and there is no way to ascertain how these pictures relate to the receipt details. More reputable companies, such as **************** will ensure that the charges are detailed, and the pictures that are taken are inserted into the invoice, so that there is no confusion. Nothing further is requested. I have learned a lesson. I won't be using them in the future. The receipt and pictures are garbage and cannot be used for tax purposes. To anyone out there reading this complaint, BEWARE! Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/07/29) */ Pictures and receipt have been sent the customer received them
