1 starI wanted to cancel my contract for a service (skunk traps), by Home Paramount in Manassas. I called within the three business days that the contract stated. They did everything to persuade me to stay with the contract. I told them I wasn't interested in doing this anymore, and to get my money back. It's been a week now and the traps are still in my yard. I called HP again, and all of a sudden, no one is available to talk to me. I know they are avoiding me because they know that I called within the three business days. Please stay away from this company. And, according to Fairfac County Wildlife Services, skunks are okay to roam your yards. The chance of being sprayed by a skunk in the day time is unlikely because these gentle creatures are nocturnal.Review fromMark R

1 starPaid $ 200 for initial start up because they were supposed to do complete and thorough job .The only thing I got was what I will be getting on my quarterly service . They never set bait traps or check and seal entrance points ,never cleared Cobb webs . Service was poor. The stuff they did you could buy at Home Depot and do it yourself self . 1 starHome Paramount is the worse company ever. Signed up for a year contract. Paid $900.00 to *** ******** who is allegedly an inspector. He did not inspect 1 inch of my property, just got me to sign a contract and take my $900.00. Then another $105.00 on May 17th for my 30 day followup which never occured. Jerome ****'s came out a few days later and sprayed the parameter of my property and inside. Was supposed to get a 30 day followup from initial signing of contract (April 17) which never occured. Called Paramount because I noticed bees flying in my shed. Called Paramount and they sent out Gino on May 17th. Still seeing bees and Called back on May 21st. Was told that I would have to wait 2 weeks. Said this could not wait 2 weeks. Spoke with Hailey and scheduled Jerome to come out on May 28th B/T 1 and 3. Called Paramount at 2:45. Was told Jerome ****'s was at my house at 1:15. Told them I was home all day.Got another call from Paramount saying they would have to reschedule and would be another 2 weeks before a tech could come out. Said that was unacceptable. Then got a call from Amber at 3:30 that I received wrong info from Paramount employee and that, in fact, Jerome was not at my home at 1:15 but would be at my house within the hour to spray shed for bees and do my 30 day followup which was never done. Again waited and Jerome finally showed up at 5:50. Told him he could not park in my neighbors spot but had to park in a visitors spot. He abruptly took off and did not rerun. This company has put me through he'll and has caused me undue emotional stress. They should be put out of business!!Review fromFredericka L

1 starThey had a tech Owen ***** saying he checked all my termite traps. but he just pulled up submitted his report, when I went to get the keys to open the back gate he left. An he sign the paperwork saying he inspected the termite traps, but he did not get out the car to check anything I was looking out my window when he was pulling away. So he didn’t check them at all and he sign the work order that he completed the inspection.Review fromBill C

5 starsI contacted this company in Hagerstown and a gentleman came out to give me a estimate and he was very friendly and professional and answered all my questions. I then call the office and spoke with Janet who was also very professional and scheduled my appointment within two days. Two of guys came out to spray and both were great, answered all the questions and said if they need to come back and retreat the outside again to just call the office. 1 starWe’ve had the absolute WORST experience with this company in Wilmington, NC that has been going on since July of 2023 and is still not resolved! I could write a book about the numerous unprofessional, rude, and incompetent service techs we’ve interacted with trying to have work done in our crawlspace. They seem to have so much employee turnover and with every new tech who comes out, we have to start over from scratch. You can never get in touch with anyone; no way to directly call the Wilmington office and they refuse to give us a manager contact when we’ve been unsatisfied. It has truly been a nightmare. At this point we only need two small things completed but they continue to delay and give us the run around. Please don’t use this company!Review fromCaroline H

2 starsI contacted Paramount in May-June 2023 as they had been the provider for biweekly upkeep of the condo I lived in and thought they would be best to address the issues a tenant had described regarding roaches. The tenant ultimately did not reach out to schedule and when I visited my unit it was clear there was a full blown infestation. Initially Al, the project manager was very responsive and helpful in communicating with my tenant and I was confident when I returned I wouldn't have the same issue. When I returned in September 2023, I found a few live roaches and called Paramount to have someone come back out. It took a while to get ahold of Al or someone else on the account. They had strangely set up an individual account as it appeared Al and other personnel at the office had no idea there was an existing contract with the condo building itself. The condo had a payment issue which caused some of the delay, which is not Paramount's fault, but it took several phone calls over a few days to get in touch and I was very concerned I had another infestation on hand. Al came out to view the units, there was more confusion as he did not seem to know the biweekly spraying upkeep; understand they're different contracts but it was odd to me nonetheless and caused additional confusion with condo owners. Some unit owners had rodent issues and I asked for a price breakdown between rodent and roach for the full sweep, Al insisted he could do it and now we are at two weeks and four email exchanges with no price breakdown. Additionally, and this is the bigger issue, the initial spraying caused permanent staining to my cabinets and I have heard no response in rectifying this. I am cautious to recommend everyone in my building get Paramount roach and rodent treatment if it will permanently damage their cabinets. The lack of follow up is very concerning and I've been overall quite underwhelmed and upset with their communication and procedures. Would not recommend.Review fromJames C

1 star***** ************* was the Pest control company i had. They Closed and turned it over to Home Paramount Pest Control. The last time they come I got a automated call around 6:00 telling me when they are coming. Cant call the office at 6:00pm they are closed. Dont matter if i like the appointment or not they will come. He came and my wife called and told me he was here. I came home and all he did was put out some pellets around the house and he was fixing to leave and charge me for a full service outside. A full service out side for me was to treat for aunts outside in the yard. Wipe down the house on the outside. ( Get bee nest down, spider webs down from the side of the house. He did not do it.) I had to tell him to go under the house and put pellets down. He put some at the door under the house didnot go all the way under the house and put out pellets. Then i told hime to come in the house and spray he put a little in some of the rooms around the heat and air vents did not spray around the walls like it was done before. Then he left. I have spider webs all around the outside of house and see big bugs and spider in the house. I called them and wanted someone to tell me what kind of plan i have. She said she would get someone to call me back. He called me back in about a couple weeks or more. He did not tell me what my plan was. He set a date up to come and spray for free i said ok when yall come i will pay you. He set a date 8/29/2023 between 3:00pm to 4:00pm they didnot show up. I called and she said because i had not paid the $225 dollars that they would not come. I told her i was not paying until they come do what they are suppost to do. 1 starI always considered Home Paramount a trusted company and have used the through the years, but with this last episode, they won’t get any ore if my business. I signed a termite agreement that had a 3 day cancellation policy. Within 30 minutes of signing the agreement and after the inspector had left , the technician showed up and started installing the traps. The next morning I decided to use my three day cancel the agreement and wanted them to get the traps. They informed e that the product had been installed and the funds wouldn’t be returned. I feel that they have created a system where the tech follows the salesman, hides in the wings and cows out after the service writer informs him to go in. This way the install can be sooner than the three day cancellation will allow. I’ve put in various calls over the last seven days and no one will call me back. Not even the regional managers. I feel this type of business model is a crappy way to sleeze money from customers. I only put one star because I had to.
