I hired the company to complete work in my home , and my bathroom tiles were not done properly. I reached out to the owner and he stated it was not an install issue but an issue with the supplies I purchased . I purchased the materials based on what was told of me . I am not a professional. Not only is my grout uneven, but there’s so much noise and sandy texture coming off my floors . It’s only been a month and I’ve had several contractors come check the work. They all said they should be redone. Just because you think you’re doing the work at a cheaper rate does not mean take advantage and give people ****** work. It’s not okay at all to think this is going to make up for it . Now they need to be redone because clearly why would someone want to walk on something unsafe. Also the workers are constantly on their phones and take their sweet time . Very unprofessional .Business Response

This company was hired to start a shower renovation that started 8/30/22 with completion date of 9/8/22. On I paid the agreed amount In full based on his commitment to complete the project the night of the transaction 9/13/22. As of 9/21/22 I had to fire the company because the project was still not complete. This company had blatantly wasted my time and material and took advantage of me as a consumer. I took photos and video of the copious amount of tile (that was not even for the project) In the trash and broken. I am in the process of resourcing a third party to come and correct the damage and extreme poor quality of work. I was advised by several companies to seek legal counsel due to severe disregard to occupational and state protocols. There is also damage to my plumbing from construction materials being poured down my shower and vanity drains. In addition to the disarray of careless and shoddy workmanship, the conduct of Jonathan ********* (the owner) was deplorable. After costing me over a thousand dollars in hotel expenses, gas, additional material, and time from work to compensate for not adhering to the deadline, he became extremely confrontational when I requested the cost to be reduced to adjust for these expenses. Spending HOURS in search of resolution he adjusted to price to reflect only a portion of my added loss, during which he threatened to stop all work to be done and "leave me to deal with it" which he has indeed has done. I have professional statements that will attest to the work done. And statements of my family that was visiting from out of state to attest to his conduct, refusal to honor commitments and the series of events prior and during the renovation. I am currently pursuing a full recoup of my money so that I can hire a reputable company to correct/complete the job.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/02) */ Sad to see someone you considered a friend to go this way over money. Such deadline of 9/8th only existed in her mind, there was not an specific completion date at the initial agreement, would have known of such short time date the project would have never started. I was notified along my installer of such deadline on afternoon of Tuesday 9/6th, with 2 days left there is not a person in this world that would finish a shower and do a great job. Her shower is almost double the size a normal shower and wanted my installer to do magic to finish it, not to mentioned she offered him cash to leave me out of the deal. Customer did not pay full amount of the project nor she paid in advanced as she claim, she paid $1,000 under full cost of the project to compensate the $700 she said she paid in hotel for her family (did not showed me any receipt) Taking in consideration the add-ons she added to the shower during the process of the project which were not part of the original agreement, the discount is even higher. Such payment was made on sep/12th and she made it knowing the shower was done, except for some drywall sanding, caulk on the outsides of the shower and close to the ceiling (I do have proof of what was left as well as she telling me that all she wanted at that moment is for the shower to be functionable which it was done). At the moment of payment on sep/12th we agreed in words and text that she wanted to take a break to enjoy time with her family that had come to visit and that would let me know when she wanted my installer to come back and do the finishing touches, touches that did not affect the functionality of the shower. On sep/19th she contacted me to schedule my installer to come back as agreed, we agreed for sep/21st. On sep/21st my installer wanted to be at her house at 8:am, than she said 8:30 so fine he got there at 8:30, knocking her door she did not want to open, 8:40 he call me that she's not opening the door and right before I call her to open, she sends me a text saying that my team was fired because he was late. She fired my team unreasonably. Now, she wants an additional refund of $2,000 to make it $3,000 total, and again in an act of good faith I have no problem giving her back the 2K, only thing I ask is to provide me a copy of the invoice she got from the licensed contractor that fixed what was left, as of this moment she has refused to provide. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/10/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Simply put this representative is lying about several aspects of this transaction. he knew the deadline since the beginning of august and I even reiterated the deadline prior to the start of the project on 8/30! Especially because my early grandmother is a fall risk and my shower was the only shower that she could get in and out of safely. The unfortunate part on my end is that the vast majority of communication was done via phone calls and not in writing to include the multiple times I contacted him complaining about the work done and my phone extreme disappointment. when I provided the names/ company names and estimates for the cost of completing the work that his team was in fact late for arrival to complete. And frankly put why would I continue to let a company back into my home after yelling and threatening at me AND MY MOTHER. So on top of being late I truly didn't feel comfortable or safe with them in my home anymore. As of Friday 9/30 Jonathan continued to make harassing phone calls where I had to tell him seven times to not speak to me in the manner in which he did and requesting to discontinue communication because of the harassment. As an active duty service member who is already diagnosed with anxiety and PTSD this situation is effecting my physical and mental well being. As of 10/3 I gave a line by line of why the $2000 is being requested. Which does not include the cost of repairing my damaged plumbing, which would significantly increase the amount I am requesting as resolution. I am waiting for Jonathan to do the right thing professionally and morally and fulfill my request at which time I have no problem updating this item as resolved and NEVER doing any additional business with and for this company.
