Mr. Robert ******* shame on you! You are keeping our deposit after not finalizing a final purchase price...Then you ignore a active leak...We performed an inspection and mold test only to find another leak and a adverse mold test. I have never seen a adverse mold test like this. How can you do this to a disabled person who had a stroke. We intend to file a lawsuit. You can not legally keep our deposit.

Beautiful home but doesn’t stand by their homes defects. We have upgraded engineered floors that face checked within a month, weren’t acclimated, made popping-crackling noises before closing and we were told it was fixed and now 2.5 years later we are still having issues. Wormald is refusing to fix even though we have all of the receipts along with 2 independent hardwood inspectors saying that something is wrong. Our slider also don’t open and close correctly even after repairs done in it 4 times. Robert Wormald only sticks up for his employees and won’t even acknowledge my voice mail or email after we invited him to come walk through our house.

The floors mentioned in this post have been inspected by two third party agencies. The floors have no related defects in installation or product as identified by both inspectors. Both inspectors mentioned crackling in isolated areas, with one very specific as to 27sf in one area. We located the 27sf area and injected the floor with epoxy which corrected the noise. We sent technicians to the home several times and they could not make the floor squeak. In one email sent to us, the homeowner stated that the floors were “noise free”. It is typical for wood floors to move as the seasons change. Seasonal floor noise is to be expected in wood flooring, particularly in wider plank flooring. In response to complaints, we sent technicians to address each one - albeit that the floors are properly installed and performing as designed.

WORMALD COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION has violated the Arlington County Noise Ordinance three times in as many months (as of July 1, 2023) while building the new home on 26th Rd N in Arlington. Despite being notified by certified mail, and police being dispatched to the site, they continue to ignore local laws and ordinances. They have no respect for the community around the homes they build. Buyer beware.

We are sorry that the construction activities were disruptive to this neighbor. Wormald is mindful of neighbors and implements measures to reduce the impacts of construction. The allegation of being in violation of the noise ordinance is not accurate. We have not received any violations, notices, nor were contacted by the police or a regulator. This neighbor contacted us about their noise concerns at which point we took measures to address each concern. The neighbor stated they contacted the local authorities to investigate; we were not contacted by any authority of a noise concern or violation.

The person from Wormald responding to my initial complaint obviously never talked to their Virginia Division Manger who received three complaints with photo proof on two of them. 3-11-23 6-17-23 7-1-23 Standard practice of builders to just deny any allegations. All the more reason not to do business with Wormald. Don't believe me though, you may view photos of the Arlington police who were called to the site for noise violations, talking to Wormald subcontractors here: ********************** ********************** If Wormald lies about a simple noise violation, what else are they lying about?
