On 02/12/23 at 11;33am two men (Hispanic origin) arrived at my home supposedly from Green Cleaning Services to clean my air duct system. The person I initially spoke to on the phone told me the cost was $200.00. This changed to the $200 for basic cleaning; and $100.00 for each return-vent which I agreed to allow them to clean two return vents and to sanitize which he wrote an invoice (*** **** * ******* ********* ***) (###-###-####) from for $450.00 and wrote his name on the invoice as Giovanni *****). He then went outside to bring in the equipment which was dirty and the wheels on the machine soiled my white carpet. He attempted to clean with what appeared a purple cleaning solution. He then hooked the raggedy machine to the vent upstairs ceiling and came back to ask me to pay the $450.00 up front. I questioned why did I have to pay up front when he had not started cleaning duct, he then asked if I had **** *** or *****, I said no I could pay with a credit card or check. He then supposedly called his office and told me to put in my email address and his office would send me an email to use my Bank Card. After the transaction was approved, He then insisted that I sign a credit card authorization, I advised that I would only sign when he completed the job. He then started walking behind me with an attitude insisting that I sign the paper and he said if I didn't that he would not do the job. I kept telling him to do the job and he started disconnecting the machine and I said he could not walk off not completing the job and take my money, so I was calling the police. While talking to the 911 dispatcher the two guys Spead off in a white van with no signage. I gave the 911 dispatcher their tag Number. The ** County police (Cpl. ***** #****) arrived and gave me a case report #******************* The Company that ran my credit card authorization was ********************** for chimney sweeping for 450.00. Clearly, looks like a ****. I Called 3 times have received no return call. Reported to *** Bank on 02/12/23.
