I did book my travel ticket from RDU to MAA (for a family of 4) and back through Workld ticket deals (************, **********). Due to a mistake by booking agent, I was denied boarding on my date of travel. After a long struggle, I got airtripmaker to reissue a ticket and they said I pay them additional $2000 on top of the earlier $5200 paid for the original ticket (which i was denied boarding due to mistake of travel agent). Also there was a baggage fee by airline on top of $7200 in total i was asked to pay. After negotiations, booking agent sent confirmation email that they will reimburse baggage fee for one way if I pay them thier price for the ticket in total of $7200. (Please refer to email pdf attached). Now airtripmaker is not responding at all when I tried to reach them for reimbursement of baggage fee which they have promised in email.Initial Complaint

I have booked an airline ticket with a company called Airtripmaker, which is located in Baltimore, MD. When I changed my flights they told me that airlines is charging the fare difference. When I checked my creditcard airlines only charged me $129 and these guys charged $369. When I questioned the same they said all the remaining were taxes. I said when the airline already charging me the taxes, why again. They sent me a detailed bill. To my surprise they list all the taxes exactly what airline has charged. Surprising part is, in a hurry to adjust the amount they showed "United States - Immigration and Naturalization Fee(Immigration User Fee) as $114.96". This fee was supposed to be $7.00 as per the "Amendments to the Immigration and Nationality Act. 8 U.S.C. 1356, passed in 1986". Immigration Inspection User Fee (IUF) ********************************************************************************************* . I have requested for the refund for $319 (After $50 their fee). Since then they say it is final. They have changed the "United States - September 11th Security Fee(Passenger Civil Aviation Security Service Fee) (AY) $5.60 USD" as "United States - March 01th Security Fee(Passenger Civil Aviation Security Service Fee) (AY) $5.60", thinking that it is travel date and they even forgot to change "th" to "st". This is completely unfair practice. They have to refund my money which was charged fraudulently.Business Response

On 23rd Sep 2022, I tried to book a flight ticket through this travel agent Air Trip Maker, for my daughter in Seattle. The agent provided an itinerary on ***** Airlines for $2,400 and asked that I pay an advance of $1,500 to get the ticket booked, and that once he provides the ticket details I would need to transfer the remaining $900 balance. He sent me the ***** id of the firm and I transferred $1,500 via ***** Pay using my bank account with *****. Once he received it, he did not send me the ticket confirmation and said it was pending with *****. A day later he reverted sating that itinerary was not available and that another itinerary with one more stop on the return leg was available with no change in price. After some deliberation, I said ok and asked him to book that revised itinerary. Again he did not send me the ticket stating delays at *****. After a few days, he reverted stating ***** is not able to ticket that itinerary also and asked me to book another itinerary through ******** Airlines, which I declined because it was a bad itinerary. I asked him to refund the $1,500 that I sent him as advance, as it was his fault that he could not book that itinerary. First he said he cannot refund the money through ***** even though he collected the money through *****, then he said that a check was being prepared, and it's been over a week now and he has not refunded the $1,500 that I paid. In the meanwhile, the price of air tickets is going up. The amount of stress and amount of time wasted in phone calls and following up on his false promises is terrible. The owner whose name I am told is *****************, and his managers Thomas and Danish all seem to be a fraudsters, who collect money as advance from passengers offering them good deals and do not return the money back to them when their tickets are not booked. I hope the Bureau would take strong penal action against this business (Air Trip Maker) and I would be refunded the $1,500 advanceBusiness Response

We booked our tickets (total 4 tickets) with Air Trip Maker on Oct 11th, 2021. The trip was schedule for Dec 10, 2021 - Jan 4, 2022. We paid $1399 per ticket (i.e $5596 total). The ticket booked was with ******** Airlines and the Record Locator for the trip was ******. The e-Ticket numbers were as mentioned below. ************** ********* ************** ********* ************** ********* ************** ********* Our son got Covid on Dec 08th and we had to cancel the trip. I paid $200 to Air Trip Maker on Dec 09th, 2021 so that they can keep my ticket open and I can reschedule it. After the payment of $200 I was told the ticket should be valid for 1 year from the ticket booking date (i.e Oct 11th, 2021) and within 1 year I can use my open ticket for the trip to India. I have been following up with Air Trip Maker and its been 6 months already and they are not able to re-issue ticket for me and my family. As per their latest communication, they told me I had to pay the difference of $1995 per ticket (i.e $7980 for 4 tickets) for them to re-issue my ticket or they can give me new ticket (without reissuing my old ticket for $1695 per ticket (i.e $6780 for 4 tickets). They are not able to explain what happened to $5596 I paid in Oct 2021 and why I cannot use these funds for my tickets to India. I messaged them evert week and I was told they are looking into issuing me a ticket and they don't have any option available. Air Trip Maker is asking me to pay them more (in addition to $5596) they want me to pay them $7980 or $6780 (as explained above). The are harassing me for the last 6 months and its been a nightmare experience for me and my family. Due to the time loss caused by the delay and the unspeakable behavior of Air Trip Maker, I have to cancel my Dec 2022 trip to India and I need my refund of $5596. We never used the tickets and hence I want my refund. Please help us
