JBeale came to my house on Sept 1 (they were contacted through ******** **** ******). ***** said he'd order a part and come back to fix my a/c. He still has not come back and after countless calls from me which were not returned, I contacted ******** **** ******. They reached out to him several times and he still never returned my calls.

This is the other estimate as i have since found out that the motor in one of the splits is an issue (it was part of the original service calls in August and September, but was not diagnosed originally).  I request reimbursement for the replacement of the motor and the cost of a new compressor.

    Business Response

    Date: 12/12/2023

Thank you for the opportunity to provide a response. As a minority small business owner, I take salacious accusations about my company and my conduct very seriously. The complainant has grossly misrepresented the facts.

J Beale Mechanical is a subcontractor to ******** **** ****** (***), a home warranty company. As such, J Beale Mechanical is operationally obligated to adhere to the terms and procedures established by *** when assessing and remedying warranty claims. J Beale Mechanical was assigned the complainant’s warranty claim on September 1, 2023 and responded on September 2, 2023. During that initial service call, J Beale Mechanical determined a motherboard and transducer were required, and submitted the assessment to *** for approval. Once approved, the parts were ordered, however receipt of the parts was delayed due to ongoing supply chain challenges within this industry. Throughout this period, J Beale Mechanical provided regular status updates to the complainant. On September 7, 2023, J Beale Mechanical advised the complainant the manufacturer indicated shipment would take 5-10 business days, and then it would be an additional week of ship time. The complainant indicated she understood the timeline. The parts finally became available on October 1, 2023, however the parts were specialty, and the manufacturer required additional training for which J Beale Mechanical had to seek approval from ***. When J Beale Mechanical contacted *** to obtain this approval, we were advised the complainant had cancelled her policy on September 26, 2023. The cancellation of policy with *** vacated the complainant’s warranty claim, so *** subsequently denied the approval. J Beale Mechanical was advised by *** to disregard further actions related to the voided claim. The responsibility to advise the complainant of the cancellation consequences was with ***, as is customary practice for a home warranty provider.

J Beale Mechanical is not obligated to remedy the complainant’s service issue, as they severed their warranty policy with ***. The complainant may contract directly with J Beale Mechanical to provide remedy, however that would be at full retail pricing for parts, labor, and materials, and subject to availability.

    Thank you.
    Thank you.
