In February 2023 my vehicle was in an accident and my vehicle was sent to this shop for repairs. My insurance company reached out several times to schedule an estimator to come out and estimate the damage. The shop would not communicate with the estimator and continued to rip the car apart to do repairs they have no signed paper saying they were allowed to start the repairs without consulting the insurance. In march the insurance company reached out several times to get pictures and figure out if the vehicle was deemed total loss. The vehicle had extreme damage and was total loss. The auto shop lied to the insurance and said vehicle is repairable and charged unlawful storage fees they lied about parts being delayed and kept the vehicle. The insurance company now has deemed the vehicle total loss due to the substantial amount of damage. The repair shop is not holding the vehicle hostage and are charging a ridiculous amount to release the vehicle. Due to the negligence caused by the repair shop I have been without a vehicle and in extreme stress due to the lies of this shop and the back and forth. The shop has played games since the beginning to make money and cause harm to a consumer. The insurance company how reached out several times to get an receipt of what is being charged and the company is delaying this to incur more fees. This auto shop has schemed the insurance company causing financial and mental stress to a consumer. I would request the BBB do an investigation and assist me into filing a report with the attorney general to resolve my issue. What this company is doing is unlawful as they never provided their storage fees and will not provide and document stating this. This company needs to be held responsible for the damage they have caused. I can provide proof from insurance company if needed.

    Dear Madam:

Please refer to the attached copy of a letter from you dated July 11,2023 on the above complaint regarding **** ***** and note that G & G Auto did no repairs on an auto for ***** ***** but for **** ***** as detailed hereunder.

Firstly, the claims and assertions are outrageous and totally false. We wish not to comment as to motive, but the complainant did not incur any cost.

A Tow Truck driver brought the auto in question to G & G auto repairs and spoke to the owner, ****** ******* ********* (******) and explained that he had visited three shops and they turned him down. The driver inquired of him if his shop can undertake repairs on the auto to which ****** indicated that he has to inspect the repairs to be made and prepare an estimate after conferring with the Insurance Company's Claims representative.

The Claims Representative of ******* Insurance, ***** *****, was contacted and provided an estimate of preliminary repairs needed as prepared by Claim Adjuster, ***** *********** as per the enclosed copy. Based on the estimates, check # ********** dated 03/16/2023 for $7,656.52 payable to **** ***** and G & G auto Repairs LLC was mailed to G & G for repairs done/to be done on the auto. **** ***** has never visited the shop to see and verify what repairs were being done to the auto and has refused to sign the check. In the meantime, parts and accessories were purchased to do the repairs as authorized by ***** ***** who was in constant contact with ****** regarding progress on the repairs.
At a certain point, after discussions with ****** and reviewing photos of the damage and additional repairs to be made, ***** concluded that the damage was such that the auto was declared a total loss. The Insurance Company's representative, Troy Perez, agreed to pay for storage for 86 days the auto was in the shop and labour for disassembling the auto and a check for $8,860 was paid to G & G as full cost to release the auto which was subsequently sold at auction. Certain OEM parts which were bought to repair the auto are not returnable and G & G is bearing these costs.

G & G Auto Repairs LLC has considered the matter closed despite having to bear the loss for OEM parts purchased and NOT returnable.

Whatever decision BBB concludes is entirely that of BBB.

    Sincerely ******** *****
