In short, on Tuesday, 25 Oct 2022, at around 0600 I walked into the World Gym in Leonardtown MD. A gentleman that I have never seen before was behind the front desk. I gave him my membership number, #******, as I have done every morning for several years. This guy started to admonish me in a very disrespectful manner. Something to the effect of not saying "good morning". It was just a bad exchange that should never happen to a customer. After working out, I went over to ***** ********, a Personal Trainer, and informed her about what had happened and she suggested that I report him. We both looked over at him and he was no longer at the front desk, but in adjacent office with his head down on the desk sleeping. So I just let it go and I didn't want to waste any time since I rarely see him. On Thursday, 27 Oct 2022, at around 0600 I enter the gym and no person is at the front desk. I work out and leave. Still no front desk personal. Also on Thursday at around 1100 at the gym, my wife interacts with this guy. With no prompting, he starts to tell my wife and a friend about a guy that is very rude etc etc etc. He describes me to these ladies. My wife is mortified by the exchange of words from a World Gym Employee. This is the kind of stuff you would expect have happen in Junior High School and certainly not at a business that i frequent often and have never complained or had an issue. At around 1430 on 27 Oct, I call to speak to the manager Melissa. Gloria ( Asst. Manager) takes the call and I describe to her what had taken place with the Front Desk. She recommended that I email Melissa, the Manager, to inform her about the interaction and the fact this guy is not usually at the front desk, but sleeping in a room off to the side. As of the time of submission of this complaint, I still have not heard from the Management of World Gym. I also recommend that they contact the Personal Trainer, ***** ********, to find out what is going earlier in the morning at World Gym.
