Buying into this company has been, hands down, the worst financial decision I’ve made in my entire life. I have been a member since 2015. Just when we were about paid off during the pandemic, they had reps come to our house and upsell us to their VIP package. We have used our travel privileges with TAN exactly one time. This past Tuesday 4/15 we drove ten hours to Gaitlinberg, TN use our the services for a second time. Unfortunately when we arrived to the unit, besides the fact that it was dirty, the toilet was clogged, there was dried up spit on the door and the pull out couch was broken. It was unable to be used as a place to sit, let alone a place to sleep. We were advised that we could check out and check into a hotel and that a manager would be in touch. When we didn’t hear anything back yesterday we called again. The manager that our complaint was assigned to was either working from home or not working at all. It wasn’t really made clear. Again today when we called after not hearing from a manager we were told the manager was off and we should hear back on Monday!? There’s no one covering for this manager and the person who answered the phone refused to provide us with someone else to talk to. This is horrible customer service. Yet we are not allowed to cancel our contract. We have paid thousands and still owe more. I wish I never even heard of this company! If you are contemplating using this as your vacation club-RUN-it is not worth your hard earned money.

We appreciate the client connecting with us about their concerns. From discussions and the shared notes, this is certainly not representative of what we typically provide for our traveling clients. This unit has been slated for upgrades and improvements. We have worked with the client to come up with a reasonable solution and we have assured them that the next travel will be an improved experience.

Stay away from this company. We were told time and time again that they would be adding more properties to the list of locations. This never happened. They constantly said that they were working on expanding the locations, but the only thing that they ever added were more properties within the **. The maintenance fees air outrageous. We had this timeshare for almost 16 years and we only used it three times. We travel at least a couple of times every year, but we were just never able to find properties that were worth it.

We appreciate and value transparency in all our interactions. Our commitment remains to ensure that every traveler receives a fair and timely resolution to their concerns. After reviewing the customers account, we confirmed that it was cancelled in 2024. Since that time, **** implemented a number of significant improvements to the program, including expanding our services beyond *****************. Were sorry to hear that the customer wasnt able to fully benefit from their original investment. Ive made an effort to reach out directly to the customer with a proposal to reactivate the account, giving them the opportunity to experience the enhancements weve made. I look forward to connecting with the customer and working toward a resolution that reflects our commitment to service and satisfaction.

I have been a Travel Advantage Network customer for well over 20 years. In 2024 they raised their prices by 81%. I contacted them to cancel my long time account in good standing as a result. They persuaded me to give them another chance as they were going to add many new and updated properties. They also backed off the increase and took payment at 2023 price. Now it is 2025 and I again called to cancel my account. They again tried to dissuade me from cancelling and insured me that there are many new great places to stay. I told them I would check to see if what they are saying was true only to find that I no longer have excess to my account online. I called and was passed around, hung up on and treated with sour tones and disrespect. I insisted on cancelling and was told it would take up to 30 days and I would receive an email. In this day of electronic correspondence and instant updates 30 days seems antiquated and obsolete. They would not provide me with a confirmation number of my transaction only a name (Beth) and date. Customer service was less than adequate to say the least. If the rating stars allowed a zero, that is what it would be. Let the buyer beware! What seemed to be a good deal turned into properties that I would not recommend to anyone. Old, dingy, stained and needing of renovation are the key words here. Good By Beth, TAN and anyone who acts like you!

We appreciate and value transparency in all our interactions. Our commitment is to ensure every traveler receives a reasonable and timely resolution to their concerns. We have been in contact with the customer to review his issues, many of which had already been addressed. During our review, we discovered that the customer had not accessed our new, secured website due to a need for a password reset. We assisted him in resetting his password, allowing him to explore our updated offerings and new locations. The customer is currently considering continuing with his package and reviewing potential destinations for his family. We will remain available to address any additional concerns and support him in making the most of his travel package.

Very disappointed in the quality of available properties and the lack of available dates. I always go online and look at outside reviews. Most of the properties are outdated and less then 3 stars. The one time we used our week was at a location in Cape Coral, Fl. The place was amazing. Unfortunately, it is no longer available unless your willing to upgrade your membership. It was also extremely hard to book that location, as it was probably the only nice unit available. BIG MISTAKE signing up through Travel Advantage. The only good thing is we only bought 5 weeks. Unfortunately, can't find anyplace I like to stay at for our remaining 4 weeks. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! I have been a member since 2007. Years ago it was a great vacation package. I would have given it 5 stars with no problem. But after the pandemic it has turned into a total Scam. I wanted to first take off auto-pay for annual membership fees. But they won't do that. I wanted to put on a second Traveler, they said I can't. I have 8 weeks left on my account. I have tried to give this away for years. I wanted to close account. I figured I would lose my money and TAN said they will not refund anything. So I found someone that wanted the weeks that has a VIP account with them right now. Which is my nephew. I called to see what I can do to transfer those weeks to him. Yesterday they said I would have to write a letter with his information. Today they said I can't do that. This company don't have a clue. I want something in writing that shows all the rules, but that is too much to ask for.

Run Away! Don’t do it! Absolutely horrible investment. Anything in the US is old and falling apart. The extra fees have gone up. The carribean vacations turn out to be the same price of what you can get online yourself because of extra fees and airline tickets. Same out of pocket expense, plus a week of your already paid vacation, not as nice resorts. The entire thing feels like a scam and I’m so highly disappointed.

I'd give zero stars if possible. The owner/CEO, Scott F*****, is a bait-and-switch salesman. My wife and I bought into the old Getaways in 1997. I'm not sure when Scott took over, but a few years back we got notice that our vacation plan no longer included internet booking. Then, we got messages about not being VIP members and discovered we had limited access to properties. This year, I called to book a vacation, and they told me my account was suspended due to non-payment. They said they tried to reach me multiple times via email and phone. They had no problems emailing us at the correct address when they changed our services without consent but couldn't do so (or simply snail mail a renewal invoice to us) to renew our membership. Then, they said our membership fee would increase to more than $500 per year (3x what we were paying). I would have dropped this and moved on, except we have 11 vacations remaining. We insisted they send us their updated terms and agreement, which they promised to do, except we've not received them. We've left more than a dozen messages, and when we finally spoke to Lakindra, the member relations person, she promised to send the info but never did (not in spam or blocked, I checked). It's clear F***** changed the terms, and we were grandfathered in and is now taking advantage of our 'lack of payment' as a means to force us into paying for the updated 'premium' services. What a sham. Stay away from this crooked company.

We have been in contact with the customer and while some details below are not aligned with our data, we remain interested in helping them with their vacation plans. We sent several emails pertaining their Annual Service Fee statement and there were numerous attempts to contact them via phone. Their contact information had never been updated with us. The customer has since updated his information, and his Terms and Conditions were emailed to him directly. We put a proposed solution in their hands to assist them moving forward with the expectation of them utilizing their 11 weeks. Thanks,

The company definitely is not straight forward and you will end up paying more per vacation once you factor in the annual fees. Also, they didn't refund the money back to us on a canceled vacation, they just gave us credit which I think isn't a great way of doing business. Also, their choices are getting worse every year as their fees increase. Don't get suckered in. Trying to cancel our last 2 vacations with them so we can get out of this contract despite being with them since 2008.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear of your frustration surrounding the Vacation Assurance Protection. The good news is we’ve heard our customers and, as of July 1, 2024, we have made changes for any future reservation, with the purchase of Vacation Assurance Protection, proper notice cancellations will be a refund instead of a credit. I’m glad we were able to connect with you and come to a resolution regarding your 2023 cancelled reservation credit and have gotten you rebooked for 2025. We have a lot of inventory expected to be released in the next several weeks and look forward to helping you book your final week. Thanks,

I have been with TAN for more than 20 years. I paid annual fees every year. Recently I booked one week to **** ****** for Jul 2024. I bought VAP as an assurance for possibility of cancellation. Today I had to cancel my booking due to the health issues. I learned during my phone call to TAN that the money I put up for reservation will not be refunded back to me. Only account credit will be applied to my account for one year in case I want to book another vacation. If I don't want or can't make another booking my money will be forfeited, which in my view will be stolen by the company. That may be against certain travel booking regulations, but regardless of that it's a cheat and fraud from the business practice across all travel industry I was using throughout my entire life with or even without booking assurance. I never ran across any travel booking entity retaining customers cancellation money against their will. If the reservation assurance was paid the booking companies always refunded money for cancelled trips. In many case the cancellation refund even without the travel assurance was allowed, if made before certain dates. I my case I paid for assurance and I cancelled more than one month before my vacation date, which was the assurance condition. Don't try to tell me that it's in the cancellation policy and I should know that. It doesn't matter if this is a fraudulent activity. In fact, the cancellation policy doesn't say about not refunding booking money, It says only about not refunding parking and resort fees collected at the time of booking, which are non-refundable in all cases. I am writing about the major booking expenses of travel I came up with and I want it to be refunded to me, so I can use my money in any way I need. TAN tries to keep me hostage for the benefit of the company using my money without paying interest to me and finally stealing it. Finally TAN truth came out. I will consider contacting attorney in regard to the class action law suit.
