We boarded our two cats (***** and *****) and two dogs (****** and *****) at Potomac Animal Hospital (PAH) June 8, 2022 to June 17, 2022, while our family traveled to Michigan for memorial services for ***** father who recently died from COVID-19. Our petss ave been patients at PAH previously, but have never been boarded at PAH. We chose to board our pets at PAH because they are all seniors (over the age of 10), and we expected that PAH would provide the care and attention they needed. Instead, their boarding wastraumatic and injurious.****** apparently developed an eye irritation the first night he was boarded. We received a call on June 10, 2022 from PAH, asking for and receiving approval for treatment. When we picked up ******, his eye looked fine, but he was panicked and traumatized, and cried and barked in ways he has never done before.***** is receiving a special protein diet, which we brought samples of, for weight loss. However, she appeared to have lost weight during her stay. PAH staff have told us they left us multiple messages regarding this issue, but we have no record in any of our phones of any such messages. We did get the call regarding ******, so it is unclear why we did not get the alleged multiple messages regarding ************ nose was bloodied when we picked her up, and she too was panicked and traumatized. After we got her home, we noticed her canine teeth looked broken and damaged. We called PAH and sent photos via text to PAH. PAH staff told us you had reviewed the photos and concluded that any damage done to them was not incurred during her stay a PAH. ***** has been seen by PAH before and her teeth were good according to the vet there. ***** was seen by Dr.************************************, June 21, 2022. Please see his report, which is attached separately. Dr.************ found that ***** has twelve damaged teeth, and that such damage appeared to be recent. He recommended further consultation with a veterinary dentist.
