My garage-kept 2006 ******* ******* ***** * has been in and out of German Auto Works for a battery issue that had not been sufficiently resolved. Over 6 months, I was charged for a new battery, new ignition, charging the battery multiple times, and the problem was not resolved. The car was also waiting for a leaking roof repair, which ****** insisted could be done at his shop. I delivered the car with a car cover in the back seat, with the understanding that ****** knew that the roof leaked. However, ****** kept the car outside in the elements for months, without the provided car cover on it, as he prioritized other customers, reasoning that other customers need their car right away, and that my car was not my primary vehicle. Over time, the water damage caused mold and likely electrical issues, all the while the car sat waiting for a battery and roof leak repair. ****** promised that we could file an insurance claim for the water damage caused under his care, while he repaired the roof and water damage caused to the car. Although filing an insurance claim was his idea, several more months passed before ****** gave up on repairs, called the insurance company to declare the car totaled, and demanded payment for carpet that he did not replace. ****** insisted that the insurance company was doing me a favor for paying out the damage to the car, minimizing the damage done under his supervisions because the car is X years old with X miles. The insurance company called me profusely apologetic, explaining that it is rare that a repair shop hold a car for months on end without repair or diagnosis. With no repairs done over 8 months while it sat outside at German Auto Works, my once garage-kept antique rare *** was towed back to my home in pieces, complete with new mold, rust, electrical damage, and extensive water damage courtesy of ******' negligence. However, we did find a piece of new carpet folded up and sitting in the back seat next to the car cover.
