I first visited this office in May 2024 and trusted them to handle filing my insurance claims, a standard responsibility for any dental office. However, months passed with no action on their part. Despite my patience, it was not until October—five months later—that they finally filed the first claim. Shockingly, even then, they did not file it correctly. As of now, that first claim remains unresolved, causing significant inconvenience and frustration. To add insult to injury, there is now an additional claim that they still need to process, and based on their track record, I have little confidence in their ability to handle it properly. When I realized the extent of the delays and issues with the first claim, I stepped in to help move the process along. I communicated what needed to be done, offering assistance to ensure the claim was handled correctly. My intention was never to be rude or disrespectful. I was merely trying to advocate for myself and help resolve an issue that was unnecessarily dragging on. However, instead of appreciating my efforts to address their shortcomings, the office labeled me as rude and disrespectful and dismissed me as a patient. Their decision to dismiss me for trying to ensure my claims were handled appropriately is not only unfair but unprofessional. It feels retaliatory and reflects a lack of accountability on their part. Since when is advocating for oneself grounds for dismissal? Patients have every right to expect their dental office to handle claims efficiently, respond to concerns with professionalism, and resolve issues without unnecessary delays. The lack of communication, their inability to complete even the first claim in a timely and accurate manner, and now their inaction on the second claim, all point to systemic inefficiency and disregard for patient needs.
