I am asking for your help to remedy a now dislodged bumper that Kinf St Collision installed as a repair on my hylander in the spring of 2022 at a cost of close to 3k. The business replaced the bumper with an entirely new one and it has now dislodged. I returned to your shop today (Oct. 10, 2022) and the representative and I took a look at the vehicle and saw that left side screws were missing and clips were detached (not so on right side). I said the work must not have been done properly and asked that your business remedy the situation. Looking at the rt. side of the bumper the difference in screws and clips can be seen. Your business representative said that my car was hit which caused the screws and clips to fall off and that the business can only do a new bumper at a cost of approximately $500. My car has no dents or damage to the bumper. I do live in the city and park on the street and even if someone did bump or swipe me, if your work is of quality how does 4 sets of screws and additional clips dislodge? I dont believe the work was properly done. I would like for this business to do the right thing and repair the screws and clips on the bumper. It seems the business is trying to get more money rather than do the right thing. I did write to the business manager asking for a resolution (the bumper be fixed at no costs to me). He said that the materials they use are plastic and easy to dislodge and that they will be happy to give me an estimate to fix it. Why would a business claim quality parts and work and knowingly attach a bumper that is not able to sustain any normal wear and tear (although my vehicle is not damaged)? If all the screws and clips fall off a bumper from a bump, it's poor workmanship, quality parts, or both. The admittance of use of flimsy materials is telling. I simply want them to be accountable and fix the bumper and not try to charge me again.
