In March of 2021 I paid $529 for a 5 year agreement to provide technical support and security for my laptop. Last week I was called by a man who said his name was Max Roger(s?), at a company called E-Soft Solutions (tel. ************), who stated in a voicemail message that I needed to pay $6800 to renew the security program on the laptop. I called back and left a message that I would not agree, and that I wanted my account cancelled and all private data deleted. He called 3 times on Sunday leaving a message urging me to call. I returned the call today, Monday March 14, and Max insisted on accessing my computer in an effort to convince me to pay his outrageous fees. He said he would not remove any of the information they placed on my computer and I either had to pay $3500 for the last year's "security" program or $6800 for a lifetime coverage. I refused both, told him to stop calling me, and I deleted all I could find on my laptop related to our interaction. He is a criminal scammer. He may also be stealing identities or other secure data through his pose as a service provider. I would like to see justice served against these people. I certainly want to be assured he will cause no further harm to me or others. Is this the same E-soft Solutions company or is it one of Indian companies by the same name (he had an Indian accent).

My complaint is very similar to others here. While on line looking for information my computer appeared to lock up and said to a certain number. When I called the number it put me in contact with E-Soft Solutions. They explained that my computer had been hacked and I should allow them to connect to my computer to fix it. I told them I have ****** and ********* and like another person on here they said that those companies do not cover this kind of problem. After going back and forth for several minutes I allowed them access to fix the problem for fear of losing my computer. I watched as they worked on my computer and was surprised to see this company knew where to go to fix it. Before completing the call I was told I had to pay $299.00 for the repair and an extra $300.00 to have continued coverage. In all I paid 634.00. Payment was made on line with the company accepting from my bank account with Bank of America's bill payment program.
On August 12 E-Soft solutions contacted me saying their computers crashed and they have to refund the full payment to me. They took me thru the refund process and while filling the information out I typed the amount of the refund as $634.00 and hit enter then it changed to $6,340.00. I noticed the change but before I could say anything the man on the line hit enter causing me to get a refund of more money then I should have. I immediately told him that I knew the amount was too much. The man now tells me how I can send the money back to the company but it can't be done by sending a check to them. I have to take cash out of my account and go to a store to send the money back. I asked him why that way because it sounds like a scam to do it that way. He immediately gets indignant with me. With all the scams going on recently I would think he would understand. He starts telling me he can lock my computer until I pay back the money. I explained I wanted to wait for Bank of America to go thru their nightly update before I would consider refunding any money. Again he tells me he can lock my computer. At that point I told him to call me tomorrow, August 13 because it wasn't worth the arguing then I disconnected the call. I did not receive a call the next day. My next call came Wednesday, August 18 I asked them to call me the next day at 10 am because I had a house full of family. They called me at 10 and we proceeded to resolve the refund. But again they want me to go to my bank and withdraw the money for the refund ($5,500.00) in cash and go to a store to send it. I explained I cannot more than $500 cash out in one days' time. They proceed to tell to go to my bank and explain that I need that much money now but not to tell the bank the truth about what I was going to do with the money of which I told him it was sounding more like a scam. To handle it better I told them I would call them back when my son got home so they could explain it to him what I needed to do. They didn't like me getting my son involved.
I know I do owe the money to someone I'm afraid as soon as I send them the money it will disappear from my bank account. It seems they still have a connection to my computer slowing it down.

Just so you know on their web page they have BBB affiliated. I do hope you can help me resolve this situation. Thanking you in advance
