I purchased my first transmission in sept of 2024 for a 2016 ford superduty. I just paid to have the 3rd on installed due to them failing and I still haven’t been payed back from the first one

I do not recommend buying from this company. They have a huge problem with warranty resolution. It is very complicated and takes too long, and sometimes customers get frustrated because, in the end, they are the ones paying for quality, and the claims process is very stressful.

This has been the experience from H_ll. Absolute nightmare and is not over yet. I did EVERTHING that I was supposed to do and required of me. After my transmission (after MANY missteps from PowerTrain) was finally installed and I got my SUV back after almost 10 weeks at the shop, I submitted the $3,600 receipt for reimbursement on December 11, 2024. PowerTrain confirmed that they received the payment and it would take 90 days to be reimbursed. It has been over 120 days and this is the response that I have received twice from "****". "All approved claims are paid in the order they are received. We do not have a date or timeframe for you but can assure all approved claims are paid. Thank you for your understanding and patience in this matter. Once we have a check being mailed out, we will update you." Odd how they had no problem taking my money. I'm beginning to realize I may have been scammed. The cost was high since they shipped the first "replacement transmission" and it was total garbage. The second "replacement transmission" the mechanic had to install to realize that, it too, was garbage and worse that the first replacement. However, I was charged $1,800 for that install. Then another $1,800 for the 3rd transmission replacement. I'm sure I will have to fight to get all of the first $1,800 since it was COMPLETELY PowerTrain's fault sending garbage. The other half better at least be half ($900) with a total reimbursement of $2,700 or we're gonna have to lawyer up. However, if it is a scam, law enforcement will be involved too. Play time's over folks. STAY AWAY FROM POWERTRAIN.

Zero stars! I don’t know why I ever gave them a second chance. I have had a 100% failure rate under warranty on every transmission I purchased. The last transmission failed and was returned to Powertrain in December of 24 and was approved for warranty payment. I called a couple times a month through March and once a week since. I am told every time that they are sending the check. They have been “sending the check” for 65 days. Do not waste your or your customers money with Powertrain Products

We had to replace a customers cylinder head on a faulty engine they built after only 100 miles. In addition to this, we have been waiting since October to receive payment for the warranty. Each time I call, I am told it is being processed. When I ask to speak to a supervisor, I am transferred to a voicemail and never receive a call back.

I work at a small independent shop and have used PTP several times in the past for both engines and transmissions. We submitted a claim with them last year for an engine that failed under warranty. At the time everything was submitted and approved we were told payment could be UP TO 90 days from the time they received the engine. It has now been 132 days and have been given the run around anytime we contact about payment. It's been awaiting processing, in the mail, awaiting processing, in the mail... There has been no communication on PTPs part and, when we do call and get to talk to an actual person, the answer changes every time.Would Powertrain Products allow a customer to wait 4 months before paying? Reading through reviews, this seems to be a common problem with them. **************** is great during ordering and up to authorizing a warranty claim. After that, they forget you exist so, buyer beware.

Powertrain Products *** is rip off company, They owe us a $500 refund for the last 8 months. They keep giving excuses. Hopefully anyone who's thinking about doing business with this company will do their homework first. Wish we did!

Received a quote on 3/1/25 for a transmission called to verify and order the transmission on 3/3/25. They said everything was correct spoke with Daniel on the phone. When I went to pay they tried to charge me an extra $1000 more than quoted. When I alkyd to Daniel again he said a different transmission was quoted that’s why there was a price difference. I don’t understand how this could happen since I gave them my VIN NUMBER and they verified everything

This is my second engine from this company and having the same internal problem as the first one. Took the vehicle to a specialist and they reported it to have the same issue as the first. For the first replacement I paid out of pocket for the replacement and it took the company six months to reimburse me my money had my lawyer to send a letter to them. Now here I am once more with the same issue and I really don’t want to deal with this company anymore.

Motor was misfiring from the start. They warrantied the engine after a month and a 1/2 of going back-and-forth with 40 pictures and videos, and then they got me mixed up with another customer. Questioning their credibility the entire time. Finally warrantied the engine. My customer has vehicle. It's running good, they declined the labor warranty payment. Completely disregarded everything. I have all the documentation of the bad engine. When they came to pick up the garbage engine, I even took a video of how they messed up the valve height on the number three cylinder hanging the valve open. I even took it to the dodge dealership, and they with documentation said it's internal engine problem. Decline decline without any abilities to police, this activity frustration level out the roof. Legal action needs to be taken against this company. I would sleep better if they were out of business, one should not be able to do this.
