      I was called by this company alleging to be a debt collector threatening to have a constable serve me at my place of employment for a bealls card which I have no knowledge of. To Whom It May Concern: Pursuant to my rights under the state and federal fair debt collection laws including the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), I hereby request that you immediately cease and desist all oral and written communication with me and any of my associates regarding any and all alleged debts you claim I owe. You are hereby notified that if you do not comply with this request, I will immediately file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Texas attorney general's office, and other appropriate regulatory bodies.       Stillman Law Office (Stillman) received this matter from its client, ********* ******* *******, ***, for collection purposes on or about 10/23/2019. Stillman sent a demand letter, pursuant to the FDCPA, on or about 10/28/2019. ******** ******** contacted Stillman on two occasions, requesting validation of the debt. Stillman provided ******** ******** with a validation response on both occasions.

      Stillman initiated suit on behalf of its client on or about 3/6/2020, which was then filed with the court on 3/25/2020. ******** ******** was personally served the summons and complaint on 5/22/2020.  ******** ******** failed to file an Answer with the court and a Default Judgment was entered on 9/21/2020, which then allows for post judgment collections, such as garnishments. ******** ******** contacted Stillman (after judgment was obtained) on two occasions, claiming *****. Stillman sent a ***** packet to ******** ******** on both occasions and received no response back.  If ******** ******** provided a response to this ***** packet, a ***** investigation could have been conducted.  As such, Stillman has continued with post judgment collections on the valid judgment which remains unpaid. 

      Stillman takes all complaints against its office seriously and has reviewed this matter internally for any wrongdoing. Stillman has not violated any procedures or laws in respect to its attempt to collect this amount due.

      I received a debt collection notification via mail on 26 JAN 2023 from Stillman Law Office, LLC regarding a debt I "owed" of $2500. I called the number on the phone to inquire about said debt and Stillman Law Office, LLC told me that it was Vivent security equipment that was financed through *************** Well, I knew this to be absolutely false and contacted Vivent just to double check, and sure enough it's a SCAM! This "lawfirm" should be ashamed of itself. Truly disgusting.

      Stillman Law Office received an inbound call from *************************** on January 31, 2023,with a refusal to pay.  The Firm notated the refusal and placed the claim on a cease-and-desist notification.  The claim was subsequently recalled from the Firm by the client.

      The Firm fully refutes the assertion by *************************** that the information and detail provided was a scam.   *************************** may contact **************************** to request validation or provide other support at ************.

      No matter what this company says, I called the company and the company said I did not owe anything. So, yes- I am refusing to pay. Feel free to close the complaint, I just know this law firm is a scam.
