We were sold a dangerous car. On December 23, 2024, my wife and I purchased a vehicle from ***** Auto Sales via ******* the salesman. Shortly after the purchase, we encountered serious issues that not only led to significant repair expenses but also disrupted our daily lives.Within days, we discovered that the cars heater blower/resistor was malfunctioning, leaving us without heat for a week and costing $719 to repair. This problem even resulted in me missing five days of work. Additionally, a subsequent inspection at a ********* dealership revealed a cracked catalytic converter that produced a strong exhaust odor inside the car that was making us feel sick and dizzy while driving the vehicle. Replacing the catalytic converter cost us $1,550.Unfortunately, our warranty did not cover these repairs, and when we sought assistance, **** *********, the manager, was unresponsive to our concerns. Instead of offering a solution, he casually mentioned that a guy I know could have done it for you for $500, a comment that was both unhelpful and misleading given the actual repair costs. **** was a slimy guy.Based on our experience, I caution potential buyers to thoroughly inspect any vehicle purchased from ***** Auto Sales and to be aware of possible hidden issues.Customer Answer

Customer Bought a vehicle with a state inspection item only warranty. We had no obligation's to fix the vehicle other then in good faith. K&R reimburse customer again in Good Faith for his repair and the other issue was out of the warranty period and we told the customer to bring it to us to look at and he wouldn't and had the repair done at his repair shop. The law is very clear that the dealership has the right to fix any repairs at there facility and the customer refuse to bring it to us. They replaced the transmission and I had to have my own mechanic flush all the fluids after only to find lots of residue. They charged the ac which still doesn't work. My engine check light is still on, I had them scan it and **** told me it's a problem with the ac and promised they would make it right. Since then it's been radio silence. Won't respond to me at all, so I'm stuck fixing a car I've had less than 3 months.Customer Answer

I have called this place 4 times about the car I bought (2013 ********** Passat) the emblem on my grill came off the day after I brought it home, 3 days later (I got the car July 8th) my tire light came on, so I figured out what the tire pressure needs to be at and put that much in and my tire light is still on! Conveniently every time I call the sales agent that sold me the car is with a customer and never returns my calls. I checked the air pressure in all my tires before going to the beach on Sunday (07/21/24) all but one tire was 2lbs less then what should be in it after already putting air in about a week prior. This morning (07/26/24) as I was getting ready to head to work my driver side tire looks almost flat! So now when I get out of work I have to go and spend another $2.00 for air, at this point I will have spent $8.00 on air since getting this car almost 3 weeks ago! I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to deal with this or spend my money when I should have ZERO! Problems with this car right now, I work full time and am in school full time, I dont have the time for this right now nor should I have to make the time, this is not my issue and K&R needs to fix this problem, wether its putting new tires on or if the rims are the issue replacing the rims, I am still within my 30 day period and it should have been taken care of when I first called! If I have to get my lawyer involved I will. I have gone 6+ months without a vehicle because someone hit me and already have my lawyer dealing with that issue still right now. I put $1,000 down and the car was $10,990. This may not be a big deal for them but it is to me and if I recall there is a 30 day lemon law right? I would appreciate if someone gets back to me and gets it situated as soon as possible. I will not be taken advantage of because Im a woman and places like that think we dont know what were talking about.Business Response

On April 4,2024 I bought a car from these liers and crooks. I bought a Kia *** with ****** miles on it and told nothing was wrong with it. Perfect little car they said. A week after I bought the car problems started to arise. The brakes were loud as h*** I mean loud. Pure grinding while braking. Then the key fob wasn't working. Now loud bang coming from the back with you hit the smallest bump in the road. Feels like I'm off roading. Brought them the car and they took it for a test drive. Told brakes were fine and key fob doesn't open trunk just unlocks it. Doesn't take a **** genius to know that the key fob locks the car,unlocks the car,and lifts up the hatch hence three buttons. Idiots!! After I left I told them I'll bring to a mechanic myself. Boy were they quick to say bring it back lift not broken anymore smh. Never told us lift was broken. Brought to mechanic. ******** shook his head and said who did these brakes. Pads dislodged. 3-4 days later still grinding down the road looking foolish. Brought car back yesterday and told by K and R it was just brake dust lol. Meanwhile when mechanic took it on a test drive he heard the brakes grinding and got very silent. Put car on lift and said brakes are fine. Meanwhile they are not. Since these liers and crooks failed and waited for warranty to end I now have to trade in this car and be in the hole ***** dollars. Now they refusing to let me talk to guy who sold me car and general manager thinks he can talk to people any way he feels like it. If car was fixed when I brought up issues we wouldn't be in this situation instead your main focus was to be unprofessional and spent more time trying to hit on my wife and talking behind my back saying I think to much and complain but car is BROKEN!!Business Response

K&R reinspected his concerns and found nothing wrong with his brakes. Also Customer was out of his warranty over ***************************************************************************************************************************************** his brakes we cleaned them and inspected and they pass states requirement. Less than 30 days after purchasing a vehicle, the check engine light came on. I called and talked to the salesman. I was taken in after a few months. A couple of days later the light came back on. I have been trying to get this repaired for going on about 9 months. I just got off the phone with ******, (salesman) and he told me that ****, (manager) will not give him an answer to getting this repaired. I have heard of others having this issue with K and R, but i didn't think it would happen to me, seeing they kept saying it was just the gas cap and wouldn't even try to replace it.Initial Complaint

Bought a vehicle from K&R on 9-5-23 that was claimed to be free of known defects. After a test drive in town at lower speeds the vehicle appeared to be fine. I purchased the vehicle for $29317.64. On 9-7-23 the vehicle began to violently shake and shutter at highway speeds. After contacting the salesman and describing the problem they said to bring it in and they would look at it. It was taken on a drive and the problem did not appear. The drive was less than 5 minutes and not at highway speeds. The salesman, ***, told me they were not going to do anything about the issue. The only action taken was temporarily shutting off the check engine light with a diagnostic tool. I have documentation stating that the previous owner had a very similar sounding issue less than **** miles before I purchased it. Then the manager got involved and said he would set up an appointment with another dealership for a diagnostic test, but definitely made it sound like I would be on the hook to pay for the diagnosis and the repairs. This vehicle is still on the **** mile warranty. They were dishonest in saying this vehicle had no known defects and frankly, were quite rude when I raised that point.Business Response

I purchased a vehicle here, K & R Auto, on June 2, 2023 I took the vehicle to my mechanic to go over the car to be sure it was all good.He gave me a list of things that should be repaired.Brought it back to K & R on the 12th of July to have those things taken care of, staying well within the 30 day warranty.Picked the car back up on the 14th and brought it back to my mechanic where I was informed that they only changed the tires, and did nothing else.Called K & R on the 15th where we were told, that their mechanic said the parts were fine, and they weren't going to replace the parts.I have since brought the vehicle to my mechanic to have those parts replaced which cost me $1,719.51 I don't feel this is a good way to do business, I'm not a mechanic so how would I myself know what exactly to look for, so I took their word for the condition of the vehicle. And I assumed 30 days meant 30 days.I've uploaded a copy of bill for going over the car and a copy of the bill for work done to it.Business Response

Well I'm not sure at this point, I believe I have the better mechanic who would not have let that vehicle go out the way it was.
Clearly this business will let things slide if it's just legal enough to get it off the lot, and survive the 30 days.

we re inspected the vehicle and we agree that the 4 tires needed to be change and we did that and all the other concern did pass inspection. We brought the vehicle to a third party inspection station and they pass the vehicle also . I also have a video showing that everything pass by the license mechanic. it will not let me upload it due to the size. I purchased a car for approx $17,000 approx 2 months ago. Car had faulty navigation system, radio volume, and push button screen not working, and drivers heated seat not working. Car has been sent to ********** dealer 3 times now, and not fixed because K&R keeps refusing to have vehicle fixed properly and trys to cheap out. They replaced radio with exact looking radio but not correct because they refuse to do it correct. The dealership has promised on multiple occasions in text they will have my car fixed correctly and give a loaner while car is in shop. They have given a loaner the first 2 times, and now that I said I want my car fixed and I dont dont want it back till its fixed the dealer is saying he doesnt have a loaner even though we had an agreed and appointment 1 week prior to now. My car has been at dealy3 days and I was promised a loaner for the entire time it took. This dealership is full of lies and I hope my vehicle gets fixed and I will make sure nobody I know will ever shop with these liars!!!!! They currently owe me for lost time of work to drive and talk in person because they wont return phone calls, and a vehicle for the last 3 days plus however long it takes to repair my car.Business Response

We do value are customers and we did have the heated seat repaired by the dealer and we are waiting on a second radio since the first one we put in failed. Purchased a 2017 GMC Acadia on March 31, 2023. I have brought the vehicle back to the dealership 4 times. 1st time to replace a broken light. When to pick it up and it was not done. Brought it back because the check engine light came onno antifreeze. And because the back hatch was not aligned. And a tail light was broken. Went to pick it up and the back taillight was not done. Brought it back. Went to pick it when told to and it was not ready. Brought it back because the ** and seat Ac was not working. Got a text a week later saying it was ready. Picked up the vehicle and the ac did not work and the fan for the seat ac was laying on the floor. We brought the car back and requested our money back. **** said he would talk with his boss and call me last Friday. No call. I called him today, and he said the owner said they will not take the vehicle back. I have this all documented by date. I was sold a car with a brand new inspection sticker and the car was ended up having a broken catalytic converter, broken ball joints, all the 4 fuses blew and a coil was broken. This business told me that they fixed the broken ball joints before I left for a trip driving in that car, and they were not fixed.Business Response

We repaired all the customer requested Items and we did change the parts that was stated that we didn't do but we did and can document that we did. The customer vehicle is currently at the dealer waiting for warranty work and I have been in contact with both parties and I hope that the customer will drop this complaint once everything is completed.
