Union River Phone/ Rivah.Net s billing communication system is outdated and every month they shut off the internet without any reminder. I never know what day it's due. EVERY SINGLE SERVICE PROVIDER I USE offers autopay and sends a text or email reminder before shutting off a service if there is a payment problem.All of my other bills are on autopay. Anything to give customers a heads up so we can pay without getting whacked with a reconnect fee every time.I emailed the manager and this is his bogus response:"Union River Telephone Company and Rivah.Net are considered small businesses by most industry standards and as such do not have the manpower and budget to offer all of the conveniences that might be desired. As a small business, we also have responsibilities to our service providers, vendors, and government agencies that must be met in a timely fashion in the course of business and have set internal reminders and habits to keep those tasks current."Instead of being honest, he chose the argument to believe that funding and government agencies are keeping them from offering autopay or text reminders. It's a bunch of gobbledygook. I'm a much smaller business and offer autopay for free.I'm tired of the lame excuses from Union River Phone and as soon as I find another service provider I'm done with this mess. They don't offer billing reminders because they're skimming reconnect fees from customers.
