We stayed in March 2024 at ************, a ski in/out 2 bedroom condo. The condo was nice, clean and comfortable and stocked with necessary items. On our departure day, as per instructions, we stripped the beds and left the linens where instructed. We also washed and dried all pots, pans, etc. and put away into the cabinets and we left the dishwasher running to clean any remaining dishes. As I do everywhere, we were sure to leave everything exactly as we left it.It had been over a month and I saw that the $150 damage waiver had not been credited back to me. I wrote an email to inquire and it bounced back with "address unknown." I then resent to 2 other emails, one being the email of *****, who I spoke to during our stay. *****'s email bounced back with address unknown and the other was received. I waited 4 days and received no reply.Today, I called and ****** answered the phone. I asked about my damage deposit and she explained that it is a damage "waiver" and that it covers up to $1,500. worth of damage to the condo. The waiver does not get returned, they keep that. I told her that this is unacceptable and she said that "everyone" is doing this. This is the first time that it has happened to us and it just seems that it is another way to stick it to the guest. We will not rent from Four Seasons Realty again. I would rather stay in a hotel and use the $150 for dining out than to hand it over to sneaky realtors. The cleaning fee of $150 plus the administration fee of $100 and then the $150 for the damage waiver is equal to more than one night in the condo.****** was unapologetic so I am sure she and ***** don't really care about renters.
