Over $40 to park for 2 hours. That is highway robbery. The lot is very small. The parking attendant was yelling and cussing at someone leaving. I literally will go out of my way to make sure I never use this company's parking lots ever again, even if I have to drive way further or even pay more. What really ****** us off was the fact that they advertise $36 for 2 hours and then $9 per every additional hour. Yet there's NO OPTION TO ADD ANOTHER HOUR when extending the parking. We almost had to pay another $40 for another 2 hours - we left. Drove 2 hours to go to beach to only be there for 2 hours since this business bends you over for parking. They're not even close enough the beach to charge what they do. It was literally a ***** minute walk to the beach still.

Leeches. I paid upfront for two hours, assuming that if I stayed longer it would either be charged automatically or I would pay the difference as I was leaving. Nowhere on the lot did it state differently. I came back after 2 hours 45 minutes to a $63 ticket. Companies like this are why the Better Business Bureau exists. I guess technically they provide a good or service, but barely. Mostly they just rip people off. I assume they know that they are scum, but as long as they're making money they probably don't care. *** em.

I parked in a parking spot in the old port, managed by this company. I paid the parking fee which was a steep $22.30. The only reason I parked there is because I was taking my elderly mother out for dinner, it was raining and I could not find a spot closer to the restaurant. I asked for a receipt to be texted to me and entered my phone number to receive this text. I never received the text and thus was unaware what time I was supposed to return in order to not incur more.cost. When I returned to the car, a little after two hours of parking, I had a ticket asking me to pay another $63. These parking fees are absolutely excessive and unfair.

I parked in a parking lot in downtown ********** managed by this company. They had signs out making it look like a legitimate public parking option, and even had the usual paid parking kiosk, and an option to pay online. But unlike the other parking options in **********, that charge a reasonable price to park. This lot required a minimum of 2 hours, and charged $10 an hour (minimim $20 in a city where the average price to park is $3-$5/hr). The lot was completely empty, and I had a time crunch so I left my car there. Within 15 minutes I had received a citation from this private company. While I acknowledge that I was parked on private property, and I fully intend to cover my obligated cost, these practices seem predatory. The multiple signs guiding a consumer to a vastly overpriced lot, that is not being used, seem to imply the intent is to catch those in a hurry, or not payimg attention and then to price ***** them. Consumers should avoid lots managed by UPP Vermont, and should be aware of their predatory practices when following signs indicating public parking.

Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.
We would like to clarify that the signage in the lot clearly indicates that it is privately managed. While it is true that there are signs stating public parking is allowed, they also specify that payment is required at all times. Our meters display the applicable parking rates, and at any point, a ****** has the option to cancel their transaction before hitting the confirmation button.
Additionally, you mentioned that you were aware you were parked on private property. If this is the case, you would have seen the signs outlining the payment requirement. Our pricing is transparent, and we ensure that all costs are clearly listed on the parking meters. There is nothing predatory about our rates.
Lastly, we would like to note that comparing our private parking rates to those of the city is not an accurate comparison, as our primary business is parking, and this differs from city-operated facilities.
Thank you again for your message. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

I didn't realize that it was private parking. If there were signs, they were not visible. The ticket was for $43, which is more than reasonable for parking over an hour. The best part was a threat that if it wasn't paid within a month the fine would double!

Do not park in the lot behind ********* on **************. The machine to pay said 2hr= $8. When I paid it charged me $17.60. How is this legal? And when I came back the machine I paid into was gone. Less than 2 hours later.

Hello, we would like to point out you may of mis read the machine. It's a 2 hr min, meaning you would have to purchase 2 hours of parking at 8per hr plus the admin fee totals *****. We hope this helps you out and thank you for reaching out.

This business is essentially extorting money from people of ********. Rates are predatory, excessive and unjust. Should be banned from ********.

Deceptive marketing practices and price gouging at the lot in **********, **. Though signs with small print are posted that explain that it is a privately operated lot, public parking is the headline. It looks like a municipal lot as you enter at the large blue and white P sign. It is clear that they want customers to trick customers into thinking that they are entering a town lot. My husband paid the ***** for the two hour minimum as we had taken all the kids out of the car seats, and without the knowledge that the nearby street spaces were only 2.00/hr (if they even was a charge on Sundays). There were no special events warranting a surge in price. If this business had any honor, they would post hourly rates at entrance and feature their own logo prominently on the sign.

Hello, thank you for contacting us. We would like to clarify a few points. Firstly, our parking rates are clearly displayed on our machines to ensure parkers can make informed decisions before choosing to park with us. Additionally, our lots are extensively marked with signs indicating that we are a privately managed entity, distinct from the city. Our company's name is prominently featured on these signs and on our meters, providing multiple references to our identity.

Please note that as a private company, our rates may differ from those set by the city. We prioritize transparency by prominently displaying our rates on our meters. ******* undergo a clear process involving three screens to complete their transaction, with the option to cancel at any time before finalizing payment if they decide not to proceed with the displayed rate.

Thank you for your understanding and we appreciate you visiting our lot.

I tried to extend my parking and your system wants to charge me another $28. My parking had not EXPIRED. I moved it and parked for FREE. You lost $8 now you have $0 for being greedy. I will never park with your company again. You interfered with a nice dinner. No wonder your lot is empty. I hope you go bankrupt!

On Tuesday, June 18, 2024 I parked in a UPP lot in ********, ** (right next to the ************************** I paid using the ** code which was not straight forward or easy to use. When I returned well within my two hour time-frame, I had a $63.00 ticket. UPP, of course, had already taken my money so I sent them a screenshot of my credit card statement clearly showing that I had paid for two hours. UPP response: "It appears that the license plate number was entered incorrectly upon payment. We have voided this citation for you as a one-time courtesy." Excuse me, how condescending since they already had my money and wanted more. They refused to tell me what part of my license plate was entered incorrectly. Furthermore, UPP website does not have a place to appeal on their website. I hope the City of ******** ceases doing business with UPP as their practices are dishonest.
