On February 16th, 2024, I contacted *******, a salesperson at Berlin City Nissan in South Portland *****, regarding a 2024 Jeep Wrangler VIN: ***************** STOCK: TU29878 listing all the options and details with an online advertised cash price of $41,621. I made an offer of $40,810.00 on the vehicle and ******* informed me that his manager, *****, would call me to discuss. ***** did give me a call and stated he couldnt accept the offer, that the price was $41,621 and included everything but the docs and floor mats but he would throw in the floor mats for free (exclusive of state taxes).The following day, I texted ******* and agreed to pay the full $41,621 cash price and that my daughter would be over to test drive the car. After agreeing to full *********************, Dominics manager informed ******* that wed have to pay an additional $1,000 over cash price if the car wasnt going to be financed. I reiterated that the online cash price was clearly stated in large bold print $41,621 and nowhere did it state anything otherwise. PAYMENT OPTIONS CASH $41,621 Confirm Availability ******* returned to discuss this with ***** as my daughter waited. ******* came back and was told by ***** that he would waive the $1,000 but we now had to pay $661 for the options in the car, $449 for the mats and $200 for the keys.I have filed a complaint with the ************************ regarding your false advertising and scrupulous business practices. In addition, I have copied the online advertisement of the jeep in its entirety and are pursuing this with the BBB and the ************** attorney general.
