J&D Painting + Remodeling (or J&D Painting Remodling) painted the interior of my home in September 2022. After paying the contractor in full, I realized that 15 of my 16 first floor windows had been painted shut. I asked the contractor to return to my home in the Spring 2023 to unstick (open) the windows. The contractor agreed to return. I've reached out to contractor for a month and they will not respond to phone calls. One email response indicated they were 'busy.'The one window of 16 was not painted completely (the painter didn't open the window to paint it thereby leaving a line where the old color is still visible). I suspect all of the windows were painted closed and therefore all 16 windows have a line with the old paint color still visible. The job was not completed and it presents a safety issue as I cannot open 15 of the 16 windows on the first floor of my home nor can I remove storm windows and place screens on the windows. The fix is minimal and would take about an hour to unstick the windows and probably 3-5 hours to properly finish painting the windows.
