      Their customer service is poor and they offer open ended explanations that do not resolve a situation. I made two payments to my mortgage on accident thanks to their confusing website. I took back one payment and they sent a notice saying they charged me $15 yet in the same notice said to disregard if payment was made ( I did). My mortgage was sold to another affiliated vendor and Home Point and *************** refuse to remove the fee. POOR SERVICE!

      I filed for bankruptcy but intend to keep my home. During the bankruptcy I was unable to access online banking and only able to make payments via mail or with a person. AFTER my bankruptcy was discharged they did not update to reflect this change and after 4 months still will not update my account. Due to this status incorrectly still showing on the account the mortgage company can not speak with me about anything, all they can do it take the payment I tell them to. Well now my escrow analysis was rerun in the middle of changing insurance providers and my payment is increasing several hundred dollars a month but they cant talk to me about to escrow or anything because of this status that has yet to be removed. My attorney has provided documentation to show the bankruptcy was discharged but after months of requesting and being told it will update it still hasent and now they expect me to pay something I cant even discuss with them. The treatment I have experienced is discriminatory. The bankruptcy status is public record and should not prevent me from discussing my payment increasing especially when it is no longer valid. They can not and will not provide me directions on how to get this status removed outside of telling me to provide the documents I already have. Horrible customer service and experience. Leaving me with my hands tied for no reason but to take advantage of a customer.

      I was a Home Point customer. I had a mortgage with them that was transferred to another company. I never had a problem with them while I was a customer. While paying bills through my Bank's online payment system I accidentally sent them a payment of $1600. Trying to get this payment back has been incredibly difficult. Part of the challenge was getting a "transmittal form" they required in order to track down the payment (even when my bank offered to work with them over a 3-way call), the form was faxed to them, and I never heard back about it. After hearing nothing, a month later I had to email it to them, and after emailing it to them I can't even get them to acknowledge that they have received the paperwork I have sent them. I have waited 12 days to receive an acknowledgement and have received nothing. The people on the phone are kind and sympathetic, but are seemingly working at a different company than the payment processors, and getting answers seems impossible.It is clearly my fault for sending the payment to the wrong company, but I just don't understand why there is no way for me to contact the people investigating my case. Every time a call, the answer is, call back in a few days. Meanwhile, my mortgage payment is apparently just floating in the ether somewhere, and no one can tell me when I may get my money back.I'm not the type of person that writes bad reviews, but since it's impossible to talk to someone that can actually help me get my money back at this company, I am writing this review in order to bring this disconnect to their attention. In many cases companies would return the payment if there was no account to apply it to, but Home Point was happy to take it and put me through a month and a half of stress.

      Hello, I am a so-called client of Homepoint financial that has cancer Homepoint financial is my mortgage company I was told because of my hardship I can apply for the forbearance program with my mortgage company on point financial so October 2022 I called Homepoint financial after the conversation they explained to me they would send me a packet they couldnt send an email. It was too hard so I waited after three I called. They sent the packet out again weeks went by I called again, which went by, and I called again, and I called again, with another three weeks all the way to December, I spoke to representative and she stated I can send it to you via email if you would like I stated, they said they couldnt send an email anyway, she said an email now or all of January 2023 I completed the packet. The response was, I was incomplete I send out again and again and again. Finally, one occasion, a representative stated from Homepoint financial, ******************** I dont know why they keep on telling you to send the documents over and over. I see him right here so finally the packet was completed April 2023, and one of the things they mentioned in the script I was supposed to be up-to-date with my payments, which I was, so now they denied me because I was behind on my payments which I got that from the VA which is totally false because I contacted VA they said regardless on time or not on time youre entitled to apply for the forbearance program, so Homepoint financial has been unethical and fraudulent to this concert with them Thank you for your time.       I theres no miscommunication. Everything is notated. I was dragged down for months and months and months and months. You will be false information. Everything is recorded you can say your part but if you look at the recordings, you can see the fax.

I was dragged down for months and months and months and months finally received the application. That was just a start of the inconsistency of false information. Everything is recorded you can say your part but if you look at the recordings, you can see the facts.

      I love to get my clients to get loan with home point. Account executive ************************* is excellent in his helping attitude and quick replies. Not just ***** but also other team members were quite helpful . I will take to Homepoint again when the rates are apt.

      Outrageous lender! I provided my condo's flood insurance twice, but conveniently they did not update my records and charged me thousands of dollars !!!!! for flood insurance. I have confirmation from them that it was received, but they still went ahead and purchased the most outrageous and expensive flood insurance possible. I never chose them, unfortunately my mortgage was sold to these crooks.

      Horrible company, make sure to *** them. They will bump up your mortgage with no reason. I had a 30 year fixed mortgage that went up %25 because they thought that my escrow went up. Missed all my tax payments. **************** is not helping, just ditching each time saying that the escrow requires insurance payments. While there is no such requirement in any escrow company. Anyways do not do business with this company. You will regret it.
