We just got our second puppy from Char. Our first - my beloved ******, a gorgeous red and white parti-colored Pom died at 13 two years ago. She was absolutely perfect - in looks and temperament. Everyone commented not only on how beautiful she was but on her sweet and calm disposition. After two years, I was finally ready to get another dog. We just got a new puppy a week ago. She is also adorable and sweet tempered. I was worried about two things - how'd she get along with our older min pin/********* mix who can be a little temperamental; and how I'd survive getting up in the night with a puppy. I didn't need to worry. She sleeps through the night (!) and gets along beautifully with our older dog. **** has the patience of Job and we have emailed back and forth for days as she walked me through every step. My mother was an AKC judge and dog breeder with extremely high standards. I feel like I can recognize a reputable breeder. **** is everything I could hope for - knowledgable and uncompromising when it comes to the health and care of her dogs and and supportive of her clients on their journey as Pom parents.Review from Linda C

I decided to wait some time before writing this to give my honest review. But here it is: To all who are looking for a beautiful loving pomeranian. It is super worth the price and wait for Chars Poms. Char is extremely caring and makes sure that we are comfortable with our first puppy. She answers all of our concerns and is always available to hop on a call. When my 4 month old *** came to me early 2022 she was the sweetest little puppy, extremely playful and smart. Chars Poms are potty trained, comfortable with being handled, brushed and doesnt mind the toothbrush. Everywhere we go, my Pom gets noticed and she is showered with all the compliments. My ********** wasnt leash trained but she was so easy to work with and was able to pick it up quickly. Shes super eager to make us happy and enjoys the company of everyone. The only thing I have struggled with my Pom is her separation anxiety but this just means that she is so well loved before coming to me and it is a work in progress. Be warned, they are stinkin 'cute.Review from Shannon P

When we were looking for Pomeranian breeders, we were warned about Char by another breeder, and it scared me. They were all lies. My intuition said these are amazing animals, and decided to buy from her anyway. I wanted to wait two years to write my review. To make sure the fur was going to stay amazing.***** is still beautiful. His fur is absolutely gorgeous still. His demeanor is kind and lovable and loves all animals. If I had a dollar for each time somebody said, oh my gosh thats the most beautiful dog Ive ever seen, can I take a picture for my Instagram I would be a millionaire! I would like to thank ********* for being so patient with me in the process of figuring out if I was going to buy a dog from her. From my experience its so important to always look at the Better Business Bureau instead of the competitors. ***** has his own ******** that is private from request from friends Our other dog ***** died of old age of 17 years and he misses her but is adjusting. If my husband lets me get another Pomeranian, I would definitely buy another one from *********. ***** looks like he came out of a commercial and he definitely looks like a print dog. he is so smart and takes direction well.Review from Dar W

I am honored to recommend Char's Poms! Purchasing a puppy is one of the most important decisions in life. It involves heart, mind, money, and commitment. What I didn't expect was that Char was there to provide incredible knowledge of the breed, straightforward in her explanations of her process, her commitment to Pomeranian health and temperament, the excellence of her service, and the **factor which was a great surprise to me--her responsiveness and passion. It has been a pleasure to walk this path to Pom ownership with Char! It is rare to meet anyone, in any professional, who is truly professional, caring, consistent, and passionate. It is a privilege to own one of her puppies--and my recommendation is without reservation. I can't end without encouraging using her pet nanny. My pup flew across the country, and he--with experience and patience--delivered a sweet, beautiful, healthy, happy puppy to me. No question. If I could leave TEN STARS, I would!Review from Amanda S

I am not one to typically write reviews, but for Char, I am thrilled to write about how she is an an excellent breeder. From our initial email exchange to pick up and beyond, she is prompt and knowledgeable. I am so pleased with my pup - loving, smart, sociable, and quiet. I have no reservations, if someone wants a pom, talk to Char!Review from Tim F

Incredible breeder, extremely ethical and conscientious. Her wealth of experience shows in the way her puppies are extremely well adjusted, confident, and come home already well socialized and used to basic things like potty training, grooming, etc. Highly recommend!Review from Jim R

I want to share my pleasant experience working with Char's Pomeranians. This was my first Pomeranian, and my first pet as an adult. Char was patient with my numerous questions and continues to be a wonderful resource. I was impressed by her many happy and repeat customers, as seen on Better Business Bureau, and ****** Review, as well as her excellent website. Char worked with my schedule, and I now have a beautiful orange sable boy, ******. Although I was close enough to drive to Char's Pomeranians, I found Char's ***************** very convenient to use, and ***** made sure ****** arrived to me, safe and sound. He delivered food and documents for ****** from Char, as well as taking our first picture together. This really gave ****** and I great introduction. My vet remarked that ****** was truly ********************. I would have to agree. Char really has passion for what she does, and really cares for her Pomeranians. Char, thank you for doing what you do so well.Review from A. S.

I received my puppy using the airport nanny service, which went fairly smoothly. Most of the reviews I found online were overwhelmingly positive, which is why I purchased from this breeder. Upon having this puppy for few weeks, I have to say I don't think it was a wise decision purchasing from this breeder based on just a few online photos and online reviews. First of all, my dog has an underbite which is super obvious in-person, giving her a bull dog like appearance. For the price I paid (similar to what other breeders charge for champion line dogs) , I think it was a poor deal. It wasn't very apparent in the puppy photos. I had asked Char for more photos and she said she doesn't take photos more than once. What a mistake. When I asked her if parents had it, she said they didn't and said it could correct itself & that it's not uncommon in the breed as even some Champion dogs had it. I asked my vet who said the underbite was not going to go away. I asked another breeder who breeds champions and she said bite is super important, so dogs with underbite certainly wouldn't be champion quality. Secondly, this dog has really severe separation anxiety (pacing, drooling, inability to settle when alone). I'm sure part of it is adjusting to a new environment, but she goes bananas even if I leave for more than 5 mins as of yesterday. I've already spent more money with a behavioral specialist trying to figure out this problem and taking the dog to work.Thirdly, Char claimed these dogs are well socialized (other dogs and cats at her home), go potty in the yard, spend time in the pen, etc. This was all a load of c*** as my dog is terrified of other dogs (cowering between my legs), dislikes being confined in a pen for more than short periods, and has NEVER peed on the grass when I have walked her daily in the past 2 weeks. I will never buy a dog from a breeder online sight unseen. The one upside is my puppy seems healthy and eats well. The other star is for the airport nanny.Char's Pomeranians Response

I am sorry to learn that you are unsatisfied with your puppy. This particular puppy was in my lowest price category which is set based on overall quality. I provided several pictures of her including close-*** of her face from various angles. I would have offered additional pictures but she was recovering from her spay surgery at the time. She was offered as a spayed companion, not a show dog. I agree that bites are important for show and breeding dogs. My comment in regard to bites was that in the past, the Pomeranian breed standard had no disqualification for off bites which led to some Pomeranians throughout the history of the breed having undershot bites. This is something that crops up occasionally and becomes more common with the more extreme head types. Although it may not be the case for this puppy, I stand by my opinion that it is not unusual for a bite to go off during the teething stage and then correct. It is the middle of winter here in ******** and we are covered with a blanket of snow so the puppy was never on grass before arriving in **********. Here, she went potty outside in the snow and on potty pads depending on the weather and the stage of her training. She was used to being around my German ****************************, and my cat, ***** as well as the other Poms. I only received the one email mentioning her bite and your words were "Not a serious issue but it is funny!". No other problems were mentioned at all. Quite the opposite, I was left believing you were very happy with her. This puppy had an easy going and relaxed yet playful temperament so I wish I knew she was struggling through the transition so I could have helped with suggestions. I answer many emails to help with puppy transition and feel bad that I didnt know and was unable to provide additional tips to help ease her through the transition.Customer Response

Yes, the bite was a funny and minor issue compared to her overall behavioral problems, namely her separation anxiety and extreme timidness. But it doesnt change the fact that it does detract significantly from the overall appearance of the dog. At the price point of the dogs being sold (4-6k), adding 1k more is not significant in my opinion, and I could have gotten a much better looking and healthy dog elsewhere so this was poor choice on my part. And as far as emailing about these problems, what would be the point? I had already signed an enforceable contract at time of purchase. Its not as if there is any recourse at this point for these behavioral problems and I was not about to return a dog for being ugly as she is healthy otherwise. Frankly, I dont know what my dogs life looked like prior to coming to our family, but I believe this dogs temperament and behavior speaks much louder than anything a person could say.
