I Had an online subscription to the Battle Creek Enquirer in 2023.On January 2, 2024 I noticed in my bank account that my subscription had been automatically been renew, without any notification, and $60.54 had been deducted from my debit card. The only way to cancel the subscription is to call **************. I called that number on January 4, 2024 and was assumed that the subscription would be cancelled and my payment would be credited back to my debit card. Nothing happened.I called the same 800 number on January 31 and again told the subscription would be cancelled and I would receive a full refund. I called the same 800 number on February 14, 2024, and again reassured the refund was coming. No refund. I called the same 800 number on February 21. I was yet again reassured that the refund was in process. On March 1, 2024, I again tried to call the above 800 number,only to find the number is no longer the customer service number for the ******************** I'd been calling. I went to the Enquirer website and it says their customer service number is the same 800 number I'd been calling. Having no other telephone number I found a chat contact. I chatted with the Enquirer website chat person and was told I couldn't cancel my subscription and I would not receive a refund.There is no way I can cancel my subscription. As long as The Battle Creek Enquirer/ ******* ************ has my debit card information, they will be able to change my account.Also, I'm not able to unsubscribe from the Enquirer website. I keep getting an error, preventing me from unsubscribing.
