Took an inflatable dinghy (boat) to the auction for them to sell in the auction ending 8 23 22. Prior to doing so email corresponded between the business and my self stated I didn't need to bring the boat assembled nor inflate it. The vessel was taken in fully working condition with no hazard to its ability to float and hold air. It sold on the 23rd. In or around the 8-24-22 received a call that the buyer returned it stating they couldn't get it to hold air and that it was not as described. On 9-2-22 I went to the auction house and assembled it and showed that the buyers statements were unfounded for the most part. However they had damaged the floor of the vessel and even though I was able to inflate it it was leaking. The auction house said they would take care of that repair and that it was our responsibility to run it in the auction again. The buyer had no responsibility to the damaged they had caused. The auction house stated that it wasn't the buyers fault because they know the buyers and they wouldn't do anything like that. The fact that burden was put back on me as the seller goes against their policy/contracts outlined on their website. They (1 Bid) offered to pay ****** for the boat which sold originally for 533.77$.

We are an auction company that sells items on consignment. The seller is responsible for disclosing flaws and condition of an item. If a seller says something is working or in good condition guarantee that for the buyer. We only saw pictures of the Dinghy inflated and never saw it inflated and holding air while in our possession initially. This item was in our possession for a shorter time than normal so it could get sold quicker for the seller. The winning bidder picked up the item, inflated it and could notice that it had a leak within 30 minutes. They brought it back to us and then we were able to verify that this was true. Our normal procedure is to either return the item to the seller or relist the item with the correct description/information disclosed.
