On March 20,2024 at 9:55 am ******************* came to my home after I emailed him and we discussed what I would like done in regards to Landscaping. He gave me a quote for all of it as $3000. Later on him and his wife ***** came over on a Saturday evening and done a walk through and then ***** made a design of what I wanted and some of the flowers.I have added some extra flowers and let ***** know I enlarged the design and have kept them in touch that there were some extra changes I wanted changed-not the design itself. Was told they would start project first week in June nothing happened. I sent letters and called and left messages voice mail stated "will get back with you" never happened. On there letterhead on the bottom it states" My wife and I will meet with you again to rewalk the property and finalized the plant list. We would also measure out the size of the bed we want to go around the dogwood tree and then we would be able to give you a "finalized" drawing of the area."That did not happen. Then I received the "get someone else letter".They never came the second time and was under the impression that I changed the design which I explained to them I did not do as the letters imply. I stated in my letters that there was a misunderstanding and would like to meet with them and would still like to have them do the job but they apparently do not want to do the job.I was told they had other jobs that they signed contracts and didn't feel I was "happy". I have sent letters asking when they could come to my home and continue to talked about it . I was not "unhappy" just wanted some answers and was willing to commit. But per there letter they are not.I would like this resolved and am willing to have them do the job and let's talk about it and all get on the same page.Sincerely,*********************

We met with this customer in March and spoke with her multiple times since then. We put together two different designs for her home. We met with her multiple times at her home to discuss the project and change her design. She gave us a budget she needed to stay under and we designed her landscape with that in mind.  After meeting with her the last time that we met with her she continued to want to change the design and add more and more to the design which would make it impossible to stay within her budget that she initially set. She called multiple times after I said it would be best if she found someone else to do the work.  We did free estimates for her and went to her house multiple times to try and figure it out. I was not going to continue trying to figure out a design for her after multiple attempts and free designs.  The last design we did for her was exactly what my wife walked around with her and wrote down and then she changed what she wanted after we left.  We felt it would be impossible to come up with a design for her after multiple months so I let her know it would be best if she found someone else to do the work for her. We have installed over a hundred landscaping projects at homes around ************* and have never had anyone be this impossible to please.  I wish her well in finding someone to complete her project but we made a business decision to move on and focus on other clients that are interested in actually having work completed and not just dragging us on and wasting our companies time while changing their mind about what they want every other day. I was very patient and tried to work with her but the last straw was calling the days before demanding that we come to her house on Memorial Day to update her landscape design. I wish her well and hope she can find someone that has the time to stay within her budget and meet with her at a moments notice. I am not sure what her complaint about us can be because I was nothing but nice and professional with her throughout the whole process. Thank You

I did not find where the Libertytreelandscaping service has responded. Could you please send it to me? I put in the 67612312FA51A and could find nothing but what I sent to you.

Have they responded and where would I find this at?

      Thank you

      Complaint: 22012164

I am rejecting this response because:The statements they gave are not accurate. Here is a list of "misconceptions" on there part per their statement.
"Spoke with her "multiple times" Met with them just one time on a Saturday evening as my letter stated for the "first" walk around.

I asked about the cost and **** quoted $3000 and I asked how can you do all of this for that much? **** said "we stay below the big name businesses that charge more so we save the consumer money and do a good job." That was stated on the first meeting between **** and I on the West side of my yard as we were coming back from the walk through him and I done so he could see what I wanted.

***** was NOT discussed when him and his wife came through on that Saturday evening-they just walked through and said his wife would put a design together when she could and send it to me which she did. That was in April around 5 pm or so. Only time they done a "walk around".

But there letterhead states on the bottom that there would be a second walk around and final design and papers signed. They never came back as stated once again in my emails to them.

"Change the design several times?" I kept the "original" design and the things I wanted changed were putting clematis vines by the fence instead of yews and  "clustering" daffodils and tulips in the front by the mock cherry tree." Putting daylilies on the west side of the house and moving the lavendar away from the deck as his wife said it is not the right spot for it there.

The first and only visit was a "vocal" type of visit as to what they could do with what I wanted.**** did not state that if I "changed some things" it would cost more-budget never mentioned except for the first meeting with just **** and I If the cost factor had been mentioned I would have been fine with increasing the budget a little but it never was brought up.

There were "no multiple attempts and free designs" I have the ONLY designs his wife sent me and the email asking if I got them and I emailed her stating I did and I had them enlarged to see the design better as stated in my email to them.

"Impossible"? If I was "impossible" would I asked if we could work through our misunderstanding or miscommunication and still want to work with them if I was "impossible"?

They are the one's who are not being understanding.

As for "demanding" they come over Memorial Day weekend? I stated in my email to them as I did not notice it was the Memorial Day weekend at that time and we were gone also and I did NOT conduct business while I was out of town with my family and friends.

His wife did send a email stating that they were not available and did not get back in town till after Memorial Day or something to that effect as stated in the letters I sent to the BBB

."Moments notice"? They knew my work schedule and weekend schedule and there were no "moments notice" of me wanting them to drop everything and come over as I had commitments just like they did at night and I did let them know when I would be here on the weekends.

As for the "design" like I said I have the "only" design that was sent to me by *****. She also let me know that they were thinking around the "first of June they could start my project" and this is only because I asked them what was going on as I had not heard from them date wise as to when this would start since the first and only walk around in April.

I just wanted to know when this project was going to start and that was when I was told by his wife it would probably not be till October as they took on 8 more jobs before they could get to mine.

So we went from a "first" stop over by **** in March, first walk around by **** and his wife in April on a Saturday night around 5 or so and that was it-no second final design-nothing.

I want to know do they have the "Dates and *************** and days they were here as they stated? I would like to see what they are talking about.

I furnished my information and can show the BBB the designs I was sent as I still have them.

I think they thought it over and did not want to take on a "low paying" job such as mine (which could have been more if they had asked) and just went with the "higher paying" jobs that they lined up after mine.

Don't know for sure if that is the "real reason" but if it was then please be honest about it I would have been okay with it if you let me know what was happening and we could still have worked it out. That is why I do not agree with there reply as it is not totally correct as to what transpired.

But there conception as to what transpired and mine obviously are not on the same page and that is to bad as I seen there designs on the internet and I was impressed as to how nice they looked in the photos and that is why I contacted them in the first place and they were a "local" business.

      Sincerely,

      *********************

      Business response

As in my original response. We worked with ***** for multiple months and were unable to come up with a design that worked for her. It is disheartening that she is trying to lodge complaints with the better business bureau on a business that did nothing but try and work within her budget and do what we could to take care of her.  We made the decision to not do work for ***** after we had made multiple trips to her home and worked up designs for her after she walked around with us and my wife wrote down exactly what she wanted only for us to send a design to her and have her want to change it again. We have a business to run and many other clients that we are working with. We have a wait list of over 2 months for us to put in landscapes currently.  We are unable to keep going back out to someones home every time they call. We felt it would be in our and ****** best interest if she found another company to complete her work due to us being unable to get her what she wanted in the price range she was looking for.  We pride ourselves in the work we do and feel it was best for us to move on from *****.  We never signed any sort of contract or set any sort of date for work to be completed whatsoever. I am not sure what she is trying to get from lodging a complaint against us.  We wont be doing any landscaping work for her at her home.  This was all politely conveyed to her after trying to work with her for several months.  I have already installed over 50 landscapes this summer and havent had a single issue with any customer we have worked with. I am currently writing this response after finishing another landscape today.  To be clear we have not hard feelings and wish ***** well with her project and its completion. We just wont be doing any sort of work for her.  Thank You
