As such, You've convinced me that your organization is a scam. Therefore, I am reporting you to the Better Business Bureau and the ************************* Consumer Protection Division.People who take unfair advantage of veterans and others with disabilities are the lowest of the low. Shame on you.******************************* cc Better Business Bureau ************************ File

    Business Response

I spoke with the claimant directly and I believe the situation to be resolved.  He stated that he would retract the complaints he made to every last organization under the sun, including the BBB.  I believe this complaint is unfair for multiple reasons and advised the claimant of the same.  First of all, we always advise every client to upload documents and not mail them.  Mailing the documents pushes the timeline back.  Not only do we need to wait for the documents, but they need to be digitized and destroyed/mailed back which takes additional time.  We always advise against this but some people choose this route.  The claimant chose this route.  While we take full responsibility for the process taking a little longer than normal and missing our first scheduled consultation and being late to the rescheduled appointment, the contract that the claimant signed goes over this.  Taking a bit longer and missing a scheduled consultation does NOT constitute a scam.  We have helped THOUSANDS of Veterans, we get incredible reviews, this is only our 3rd BBB complaint after years of business, and again, I do not even believe that this complaint is warranted.  I feel it is unacceptable for any client to write multiple complaints to every entity available, WHEN THEY HAVEN'T EVEN VOICED THEIR DISPLEASURE TO US.  The claimant could have simply voiced their displeasure and asked for a refund.  While we would be under no obligation to refund their money based on our signed contract, given how upset he apparently was, I would have likely approved the refund and wished him well.  We spoke, I apologized for the delay, and explained what was voiced above.   He stated he would retract the complaints.  If you read the complainants email to us, he even acknowledges that he can get a hold of us, so why he never voiced his displeasure, jumped to conclusions, accused us of being a scam, and maliciously sent complaints to numerous entities is truly unbelievable. I sent him an email, offered up discounts, and advised we would work with him on his desired path.  He thanked us and advised he would let us know what he wanted to do.  Seems the complaint should not have ever even been filed and should surely be closed.   Thank you and have a great day.

I paid Veterans Resource Group $400.00 last October and they were going to assist me in obtaining my medical records from the VA. The records I need are from the time I got shot in ******* (****). They never obtained anything I put forth the effort under their request to obtain what I could get. These were recent treatments. I think they should refund my $400.00

    Business Response

The client paid us $400 dollars to work to REVIEW their records and advise if we could procure a medical opinion on their behalf.  The client signed a contract that is very clear to the process.  We must have supporting records in order to help.  There is a lot of time and effort that goes into providing a list of what is needed, discussing them over the phone, providing access to a secure method to provide the records, and reviewing the records.  The client provided some records that were reviewed, but in some circumstances, additional records may be needed.  This is all discussed in the signed contract.  When this happens, in some cases, the requested records can take over a year to receive.  When this happens, it is in the best interest of the client to wait for these records, and in many cases, the records are required for us to proceed in procuring a medical opinion.  This was relayed to the client and we provided records to them to request the records, which is all we can really do.  Up until this complaint, we thought we were simply waiting on the records to come in as the client advised they were requested.  The client was also referred to us by a company who is aware of our process.  Our website is clear to it and so is all of our staff.  We under no circumstance have any obligation to refund any money to the client and have provided consideration for the 400 dollars paid per the contract, and we are willing to do more once the needed records are received.  There has been a lot of communication and time spent with this client and for some reason, they believe that we were hired to get their records.  That is just not the case.  We use the records to help build the client's supporting evidence by procuring a medical opinion.  If you are looking out for the best interest of the client, this cannot be done without additional records, which is on the client to obtain.  Again, the signed contract speaks to all of this.

With all that being said, I spoke with the client and due to the fact they seem very confused to the whole process, and what we can and cannot do, I am refunding their money.  The client sought us out, signed a contract, paid, and we did exactly what was specified. We spent a lot of time in emails and calls attempting to help.  We have been nothing but upfront and honest and are looking out for the client's best interest.  This complaint is simply not fair and is completely unwarranted.  Refund check is being sent to the verified address by regular mail.
