I contacted LaFontaine Subaru dealership service (******************************************************************) in July 2024 to resolve multiple error messages displayed on my 2023 Subaru Foresters dashboard. The service techs believed the errors were due to a loose gas cap. But after tightening the cap the errors were still in place several days later (I had been told by the service department that the system should reset itself). This required me to eventually physically bring the car into the service department so that a technician could manually reset my cars system. The manual reset was successful, but when I questioned what was being done about the failure of the automatic reset the service advisers refused to investigate any further. Days later I was given a service survey. I gave the service department low marks for failing to investigate the root cause as to why, after tightening the gas cap, the system still did not automatically reset itself, necessitating me to bring the car in for service. In Oct 2024 I scheduled routine maintenance on the same car, however after bringing the car in for service I was informed that the service department had decided to blacklist me (thats the phrase they used). I was then told they would not be able to service my car. I spoke with one of the dealership managers and they concluded that my negative feedback in July resulted in an impact on performance-related monetary compensation for the service department. I was told that this was likely the reason for the blacklisting.Honest customer feedback should be the goal to help improve the product engineering. This dealership has bastardized the feedback process to game the system for their own benefit.

In replaced my windshield at LaFontaine Subaru about one month ago. Then I found the windshield cracked on it own all of the sudden. I contacted them twice to state this issue. They told me that the a supervisor will get back to me soon. I did not hear anything from them. The service is terrible, and the staff is so irresponsible!

Attempting to purchase a new **** Crosstrek, I had agreed to finance with them, agreed on the financing details, agreed on the price and was set to put down a deposit. When sent the official writeup, I noticed a charge for an additional accessory for $1200. When I asked what that was for, it was for an accessory to be installed by the dealership at a 300% markup over what the accessory would have been installed for from the manufacturer. The salesperson stated this was a mandatory add on and non-negotiable. Was then told ALL of their new cars would get a surprise unlisted accessory with a large markup, as Subaru "forced" extra parts on them and "what else are they supposed to do with them".

LaFontaine Subaru is extremely unethical and not trustworthy! Do not buy from them! My son ordered a Subaru Crosstrek from them in August 2022 placing a deposit of $1,000. He was told financing could not be completed until the car arrived. He was notified he could pick up the vehicle on October 23, 2022. As a recent employed college grad he asked about financing. He was told they ran the financing and was given a rate as a worst case scenario but that they could improve it. My husband and I went with him on day of pick up and the Sales person provided him with a rate 2% higher than the rate given as worst case scenario two days prior. We spoke to Finance Manager who proceeded to show us a computer screen to justify the higher rates and my son pointed out to him that he was showing us financing rates for RV and boats which were not applicable. Finance Manager left the office and came back and said could provide a rate slightly lower than the original rate. We asked to speak to General Manager and were told he had a headache and was sitting in office with blinds shut and unavailable. We received several different cost print outs during this time showing different prices than originally agreed. In summary, the vehicle did not have the accessories on it that my son ordered (which we were not told until in the office). We were lied to by the Finance Manager and Sales Manager multiple times and we were finally told that this was the new price of the vehicle and if we did not want to pay the higher price then we could go somewhere else. My son did receive his deposit back and now he will start the process over again at another Subaru dealer.

Please read this review to determine if you ever want to get maintenance done on a vehicle at this location. In March, I had a mechanic look at my daughters 2010 Subaru ******* (SF) because it had a bad oil leak. The mechanic said that looking from underneath, it looks like a head gasket leak. I called around to get prices for repairs and Lafontaine Subaru in *****************, ** had the best price to replace/fix head gasket. I called some of my mechanic friends and they stated the price sounded fair. The service advisor said that during the inspection that there was oil build up on the cylinder head and block from the head gaskets and they needed to be replaced, and the price to fix was about $4800.They also found some other problems unrelated, so the total was $5900, with Military Veteran discount. That is a lot of money and my daughter, so we did the pros and cons of getting rid of the vehicle or buying a new one. My daughter cannot afford a new one, so we deiced the best thing to do was to fix. According to my service invoice, the engine was inspected, and found head gasket leaking. The engine was removed and disassembled, and inspected heads and confirmed they were ok, and replaced head gasket, cover gasket and other o-rings and seals. Well, 2 months, and approx 2K miles later, my daughter called and said the low oil and engine light came on. I told her to drive to the dealership immediately to get it looked at. Approx 3 miles from the dealership, the engine blows and she had to tow the vehicle to the shop for inspection. The service advisor called her and told her that there was no oil in the engine and she would need a new engine for approx $6100. I called the service advisor for explanation. He informed me that the engine was burning oil internally, but did not know why, but it was not from the head gasket repair. I asked him if it was bad piston rings or valve stems, and he said it could be but he would have to take the engine apart and c
