    We hired State Building Company in *******, ** to put a 20' x 20' addition on our house. The price seemed reasonable and they said it would take 1, 2 months at the most. It took them 14 months to complete this addition, of which time we had to live in a house under construction, and heat half our house with electric space heaters.A month after starting our addition, State contacted us and said the windows listed in our contract would take 3 months to be delivered, and did we want to go with an alternative window. My wife and I, now wanting to have this drag on, agreed to what is a lesser quality window. Little did we know that waiting the 3 months for the better windows would end up being a small percentage of the time they took to finish the job. We could have stuck to the original windows in the contract and still had 11 months to spare.During the 14 months it took State to finish our 1 to 2 month project, there was literally months that would go by where no one would show up and no contact from State.I would think that a company that took 700 to ****% longer than it should have take to do a job would offer some sort of compensation, but no, a few "sorry's" and they got to walk away with the full price stated in the contract.I can provide email and text confirmation of the time frame I'm describing.

    Hello, I was made aware of **************** not being happy with many things throughout his addition process a couple of days ago. I reached out to *** yesterday about the situation, our last correspondence was I will be reaching out to Him today (Monday 3-6-23) to schedule a sit down to see what we may be able to do, to help his situation.
