On Tuesday, January 17, 2023 I had an appointment with Detroit At Work - Access at ******************************* in Detroit, ** to re-register with the **** Program to receive Cash Assistance and Employment Placement.. The criteria also includes ***** Reading and Math online testing.. On that day the Internet crashed and we had to reschedule another testing time to complete the process.. I Emailed my specialist ************************* **************************************** on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, but haven't heard back from her.. I also spoke with a ************ from the **** Program who was VERY rude and refused to allow me to complete the ***** test during business hours at a time other than their allotted 9am or 1pm, as I have other preset appointments.. It was NOT My or any of the other client's faults that THEIR **************** crashed and we couldn't take the test.. As a social service agency affiliated with the ******** ******************** and ***** Services, they are Obligated to modify their testing schedule to accommodate clients so that we can complete our required training module.. They REFUSE to accommodate and modify their testing schedule for us due to THEIR **************** failure, and are quick to deny us our benefits to survive when we can't abide by Them.. Now because they refuse to upload the ***** test on the Internet after 1pm and during business hours I may be denied assistance for my daughter again or have to reapply next Tuesday.. This is against sound business practices as we (the clients) were inconvenienced without recourse to help us...
