1 starI had a similar experience to others here. The original doll I ordered came and is beautiful. But I recently ordered accessories and the order shows paid but unfulfilled. No amount of texts or emails have gotten me anywhere. The customer service absolutely stinks!!! Like others, I was thrilled to support company owned by a woman of color. We adopted 2 bi-racial daughters and I felt it was a great thing for them to know that others were successful and thriving while doing what they love. This leaves a sour taste in my mouth and I would never recommend purchasing from them. So sad.Review fromAntwain C

1 starThis company has the worst customer service I have ever seen. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I ordered two accessories from this company and I have not received any items. Its been three months. I emailed this company multiple times to receive an update and a refund and I have not received a email back. The only emailed I received was from the *** of the company Yelitsa. They said the following. My name is *******, and I am the *** of Healthy Roots Dolls. I am writing to personally address an issue that has come to our attention regarding your recent order with us.We recently discovered an error at our warehouse that resulted in your order not being shipped as expected. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this must be, especially when youve been eagerly awaiting your Healthy Roots Dolls products.Additionally, due to a high volume of emails and being short-staffed, we have not been as responsive as we should have been to your messages and inquiries. For this, I sincerely apologize. We understand the importance of timely communication and regret any inconvenience this has caused you.I really replied asking for a refund and I have not received and emails back. 1 starI placed an order with this company during the Thanksgiving holiday. Have made every attempt to get a status. Although the website states fulfilled, I do not know what that means. In order to get a status on my order, I need to know the order or tracking number. the website does not provide either so when I inquired with the company, I was never provided either. ( I deleted the initial email that I received on my order and my delete emails are deleted) so I have no email to confirm. The customer service is awful. I received a response from the owner ******* via ******** chat. I would never speak down to any customer but that is how she spoke to me. When I attempted to reply, she blocked me. I followed up via an email but no response. It is now 12/14 and I still have not received any communication on my order. She said a lot in the chat but never provided an order or tracking number which is what I needed and that says alot. I contacted my credit card company and initiated a dispute. If the doll ever arrives at my home, I will refuse it. I do not ever want to do business with this person/company again. 1 starI reached out to the company to cancel my order via the website when my order was still pending and I received an automatic message that stated that they will be back online at 9am and will email me shortly. I waited the whole day for the email and then I received an email that said my order has been shipped. It wasn't actually shipped but they created a label. I received the message at 6:04pm. So they didn't cancel my order but accepted it that way if I didn't want it, I will have to return it and then they will charge you $10 to return it. So instead of canceling my order, they made sure to put it through so I still have to pay them money for deciding not to take it. I like to support black owned businesses but it's the greed in people like this company that makes me frown upon black owned businesses. I also reached out to them after they did not cancel my request and I was told that they can not cancel any orders once the warehouse accepts it when in fact they had plenty of time to cancel my order. 1 starPaid for *********************** in full in July 2023. It was due to ship in August. August I received an email stating the doll was on back order and would be shipped in October. I sent an inquiry as to where my doll was. Received an email today stating I cancelled the order but the refund was not yet done. This was to be a Christmas gift for a child in ******. 1 starI placed and order for 2 dolls on 7/26/23 that was $209.98, then 2 weeks later I buy clothes for the dolls would be good, so I placed a secson order for $128.91 total $338.89, a week later I received the dolls clothes, 1 week later I got and email saying that 1 doll was on its way., I contaced Healthy Roots Dolls over 10 time's never getting a respond back about my requset to know about the other doll that I order, Now I am face with sending that 1 doll back and the order for the clothes. What kind of business is this that acts like this, you want to support black own bssiness but how can one in good faith do this, them not responding back make me feel like sending these items back still I may not get a refund, and may have to get Attorney, why should I have to go though this because I trust that this is a honest company.., and clearly its not...Review fromKayla S

1 starDO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Placed an order on 05/11/23 for a doll and some accessories for my daughter's birthday on 05/29. I have no received any items or any help from the company. They will not send me an actual tracking number or the carrier. All tracking info shows "order placed" I have reached out via email numerous times and only replied with an automated email showing me the same tracking that leads me no where. 1 starThis is mind-boggling and I will be submitting complaints everywhere I can.I purchased 2 dolls. One for my younger daughter and one for my older daughter. Both have been meticulously cared for in the same way. We followed the videos, care instructions, etc. The doll for my younger daughter looks great! The doll for my older daughter is completely matted, dry and unusable.I reached out to healthy roots and was told that they would not replace this clearly defective doll. They said that it happened due to improper care. What?! Then why is the other doll good??? This makes no sense. Sure, this is a great product when not defective. But a product is only good when the company can stand by its product. I have been dealing with this via email for awhile now. I was kind and courteous. But, this is too much. My daughter has been in tears. I spent almost $100 on a doll that she cant use.Review fromT. Aiken

1 starI purchased the Zoe **** along with the hair products. My daughter loves the **** and played with her daily. Unfortunately, over time the flawed designed of the dolls joints caused one arm to detach from the plastic movement ball in the shoulder. She still continued to played with her until the opposite leg joint broke and wouldnt allow for the **** to stand :-/ I am extremely disappointed in the subpar plastic design of the ****. - ************** ******Review fromClaude J.

5 starsThe refund policy is you cannot cancel pre orders. I was given September 21st delivery. The event is over. No delivery status only the month of October. I have to receive the item then return it with a 10 dollar charge fee.
